This is just frustrating. The majority of businesses are open while the rest of Netcong stays in the dark.
Kinda shows you where priorities lie. This is not the first time Netcong has suffered these outages, but it's one of the worst. Time to reevaluate the strength and weaknesses of our local grid and improve it.

How much of the town is still dark??

The only sections that have power are the houses behind Shoprite, 1/2 of Man St. and a few house on Rt46. Everyone else is still out 12 days so far. It could be worse we all still have our homes.

Yes we do still have our homes. Thanks for that. But we are freezing in them. Our town hall doesnt seem to care as the upper netcong have their power. People are getting very angry.

There is NO communication or updates! The website us useless and so are the papers shoved in our doors unless you have a fireplace. Other communities have websites, shelters and support....I thought Hopatcong was the forgotten town but they are getting power and I haven't seen 1 darn electric truck in our town!!
