RobMe in his acceptance speech focused more on his biography than his policy positions.

There were moments when his facts went awry or were missing important context.

Let’s take a tour through the rhetoric.

“Unlike President Obama, I will not raise taxes on the middle class.”

Romney appears to be referring to mandates in the health-care law, but overall Obama has cut taxes broadly for the middle class. He has extended Bush tax cuts, included a “Making Work Pay” credit in the stimulus bill, and reduced payroll taxes by two percentage points in the past two years.

Obama has called for raising taxes on people making more than $250,000 a year.

“His $716 billion cut to Medicare to finance Obamacare will both hurt today’s seniors, and depress innovation — and jobs — in medicine.”

Republicans have repeatedly used variations of this line, but it is not factually correct.

This $700 billion figure comes from the difference over 10 years (2013-2022) between anticipated Medicare spending (what is known as “the baseline”) and the changes that the law makes to reduce spending. The savings mostly are wrung from health-care providers, not Medicare beneficiaries — who, as a result of the health-care law, ended up with new benefits for preventive care and prescription drugs.

While it is correct that anticipated savings from Medicare were used to help offset some of the anticipated costs of expanding health care for all Americans, it does not affect the Medicare trust fund.

In fact, the Obama health-care law also raised Medicare payroll taxes by $318 billion over the new 10-year time frame, further strengthening the program’s financial condition.

There is a new fall line up on liberal networks coming soon. Called Desparate democrats it highlights the antics of stumbling, bumbling Uncle Joe Biden. Starring the ultra-cool but also ultra-desparate Barry Soetoro Obama. A cast that includes Dingy Harry and Nancy Pelousy and other contemptable morons. The plot centers around a forlorn group of corrupt politicains desparate to retain their grip on power in the face of public disgust and dissatisfaction. Expect to see the usual antics of the Chicago styled dirty campaigning as well as some inovating vote counting,IF they can pull it off without getting caught. Promises to be entertaining as the election nears.

I heard they were paying ACORN members and forcing Union people to attend. Already several high profile libs have given "previous commitments" as reasons for their not being there.

Poor Mittens & Co.

Most Americans Still Predict Obama Will Win 2012 Election
Romney supporters less optimistic than Obama supporters

PRINCETON, NJ -- Most Americans believe President Obama will win the presidential election this fall, even though the race has been highly competitive for most of the year.

Americans' expectation that Obama will win has been remarkably consistent, virtually unchanged since May despite three intervening months of campaigning.

Eastwood took a few shots at the incumbent.“What? What do you want me to tell Romney?” he asked the chair six minutes into his performance-address.“I can’t tell him to do that. He can’t do that to himself.” The crowd responded with a roar of whistling, laughter and applause.

Eastwood’s speech is a telling point in U.S. history, in which an overwhelmingly white, presumably middle- and upper-class crowd cheers the rabid nationalism, confused peacocking and vacant flattery of a fading national icon at an inaugural event for a campaign in pursuit of the highest office of government.

It was so sad to see Eastwood turn into somebody's drunk uncle on the stage of the RNC. The only thing missing was the lampshade hat.

In the autumn of his stunning career he has managed to insure, for generations, the lasting memory of a old man talking to a empty chair.

This what Clint will be remembered for.
He humiliated himself.

Daily Horoscope for May 21

Cancer

Take care because it's a rather downbeat day. You feel as though you have the cares of the world on your shoulders, and maybe you have. You've certainly got to cope with a lot of responsibility and duty, and there could also be delays and disappointments that need to be negotiated. Yes, it's a fairly miserable day but try to rise above it, otherwise you'll soon start to feel really wretched and sorry for yourself.
