Maybe you should try to be nicer to your fellow posters. Mr Canada.
Never use me as your excuse to be nasty others.

I have never intiated uncivil postings, and consistently treat others in the same manner they treat me.
When I receive civil posts, I always reciprocate civilly.
Conversely, when others, like you who seem entitled to act uncivilly whenever they wish, treat me uncivilly, I will reciprocate in kind.
Furthermore, I have never used in any of my posts, the kind of grossly rude and crude language and insults that we often see here.
Some of those have your signature on them.
So please spare us the self rightious whining, when you yourself aren't beyond reproach.

Glad the repubs axed the pig fat from the bill. Hopefully they can keep the rest of it out.

Thatís just not true. You did it here on this thread. You started it. I went back and read every word of the posts on this thread yesterday. You threw the first swing on the post where you start calling root the bunny. As if thatís not bad enough, you go on with the following:

the leopard never changes his spots.
melodramatic lip service.
Do nothing but bitch and moan about it!
Root's hissy fit about my sentiments
what you consistently dish out toward others?
it seems you're a lot more mature.

For goodness sake go back and read the damn posts. Writing things like that would piss off the Good Humor Man on a bad day. You are the instigator, nobody else. Call me what you want but good grief a spade is a spade.

Maybe if you spent more time being polite instead of rehashing the past, people would come back to these threads. I might even consider it. Or possibly you could have done the right thing and addressed the foul mouthed individual that started the very first post with excessive name calling. Unbelievable

JJFADS/Root seeks sympathy.
Sympathy only extends to those who warrant it.
JJFADS/Root doesn't qualify.

JJFADS/Root wrote in response (to himself):
"Grow some testicles"

That said, in a later post (#25 above) JJFADS/Root complains that his feelings are hurt because he was spoken to in (as he claims) a hurtful way.

Sheesh!

Well, your Dad was close with that.
The more common version is: "If you seek sympathy, you'll find it in the dictionary between syphilis and suicide"

I was tempted to use that version for JJFADS, but he gets upset too easily.

Same advice for JJFADS/Root.

Back on topic.

It'll be interesting to see what this Joke of a Congress comes up with on the 15th of January, when they debate the remainder of the Sandy Bill.

I'm willing to put serious money on the bet that we'll see more of the same ridiculous rhetorical nonsense.

Any takers???

You didnít get the Good Humor comment. That is an old saying here in the US.

I am not looking for sympathy nor did I say my feelings were hurt. I think I remember typing that I could care less what you call me. Itís how you treat others that I have a problem with.

You are the instigator here. Not Root or myself. You started it on post number three. Nobody but yourself started this and now you go one further by calling the Congress of the United States a joke.

Oh, by the way, am I Root or is Root me?

To JJFADS/Root:

In your mistaken defense of the US Congress, while you may disagree with the "Joke" adjective, please understand the entire world (including the vast majority of the US populace)feels that what Congress has become is indeed a joke.
If the way Congress is acting wasn't so serious, it could indeed qualify as high comedy.

PS, if we had your mailing address, and we'd gladly forward a couple of extra capacity crying towels.

PPS, I treat others in the same manner they treat me.

PPPS, You are treated in the same you treat others, including me.

PPPPS, When your conduct is completely above board, then and only then should you complain about others.
To date, your conduct has indeed not been above board, so you have no credibility complaining about others.

You started the nonsense on post three. I donít want your sympathy.

Stop referring to me as Root.

You have no idea what my defense is of our Congress.

You are wrong to refer to the United States Congress as a joke. It is an institution of great importance and history.

To JJFADS/Root:

Perhaps this reality might give you cause for pause in your myopic support of the US Congress:

535 members of the United States Congress. The same group that cranks out hundreds of new laws each year designed to keep the rest of the US in line.

* 29 have been accused of spousal abuse
* 7 have been arrested for fraud
* 19 have been accused of writing bad checks
* 117 have directly or indirectly bankrupted at least 2 businesses
* 3 have done time for assault
* 71 cannot get a credit card due to bad credit
* 14 have been arrested on drug-related charges
* 8 have been arrested for shoplifting
* 21 are currently defendants in lawsuits
* 84 have been arrested for drunk driving in the last year ...

An institution of great importance and history?

NOT!!!

Please re-read post #37.

Treat people with respect and you will receive it in return. Hint: donít call the US Congress a joke. That is akin to spitting on our flag.

To JJFADS/Root:

Why Don't YOU treat people with respect?
Or is your advice applicable only to others?
When you (and a few others) show respect, than I'll respond accordingly.
How many times does this have to be repeated before you (and others) get it?

Re the "Joke" comment.....
Sorry if the truth offends.
But the way your current Congress is acting is pitiful.
That kind of conduct is tantamount to spitting on your own flag.
