I wanted to thank those who have added to this blog, especially right after Sandy hit. We have a vacation home in Mystic Island and fared much better than some others. We got about 10 inches of water, so carpet, some furniture, drywall and paneling about 24-36inches up, kitchen cabniets and such are gone but the house is still there. I did want to share this tidbit. I had a tackle box under a dresser that filled with water. Our of curiosity, I sent a sample of the water to Home Depot to test. It came back at 600 ppm or by somestandards drinkable water. I will have it tested again, but our water was clear no sand, no muck or anything. One advantage of being far out near the bay, also fortunate to be bloed by some big houses that saved us.

Hello all. I was wondering how Mystic Island and Tuckerton are doing. I have family there and I grew up there on W. Anchor Dr. and Kadalubeck Dr. How did Pinelands Regional make out? I am a 1985 graduate of Pinelands. I haven't heard anything from my family so I am assuming they are alright. Yes, they are that ignorant NOT to let me know if they are ok even though I e-mailed them and asked them to e-mail me back. My prayers are with all.
