the 111 homes that burned down in breezy point/rockaways where never meant to be year round homes.
these structures were cabanas/bungalows for summer use only.
unfortunately people moved in them year-round.
the cabanas/bungalows are all practically attached to each other, when one burns, they all burn.
hopefully if anyone decides the re-build there, the proper alotment of land and distance between houses should be considered. out of the 111 homes/only about 40-50 should be there.
something to think about before the next hurricane/flood comes along and they have to start all over again.
