Probably DOES look like that if you're looking at it from the far right, or behind a Big Energy banner....LOL

Actually, when you examine the number of scientist who agee and the number who disagree the consensus could be that man isn't the cause.

Of course the real truth is that consensus is a political and not a scientific term. There never was a consensus by the definition of the term about AGW and now the majority of scientist would say that it has been disproven with thousands of peer reviewed studies to prove that.

How could that first claim of yours be true, exactly? Explain in more detail, please.

Scientists talk about a "consensus" all the time as a general indication of what is and what isn't "accepted science," Tina. It's a loose term, of course, but since Space Blues posted the study showing that something like 99.8% of climate-related papers published over the last 20 years or so accept warming as a reality, I'd say that's more than enough to indicate a STRONG consensus. Indeed, it's almost unanimity.

Also, could you please support this far-out claim?

"..the majority of scientist would say that it [AGW] has been disproven with thousands of peer reviewed studies to prove that."

I'd like to see where those "thousands of peer-reviewed studies" come from.

If you ask earth scientists, only 20% are sceptical, and among climate scientists, it's about 3%.

Is NASA playing fast and loose with climate change science? That's the contention of a group of 49 former NASA scientists and astronauts.

NASA administrator Charles Bolden, Jr., blasting the agency for making unwarranted claims about the role of carbon dioxide in global warming. "We believe the claims by NASA and GISS [NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies], that man-made carbon dioxide is having a catastrophic impact on global climate change are not substantiated, especially when considering thousands of years of empirical data," the group wrote. "With hundreds of well-known climate scientists and tens of thousands of other scientists publicly declaring their disbelief in the catastrophic forecasts, coming particularly from the GISS leadership, it is clear that the science is NOT settled." Using 'I KNOW you are but what am I!??' as an argument's not exactly what one would expect of an alleged PhD, is it? ;)

Of course, you STILL haven't explained what you're talking about when you say "scientific science fiction."

Lots of science contains unproven hypotheses. They get proposed, proven right or wrong, kept or dropped.

Eventually some of them can be proven correct & put into more comprehensive theories, like AGW/CC, the basics of which have been proven beyond a reasonable doubt. That's part of the process of science.

Using a know in the upper case as an argument is not what a alleged professor would use to defend a non argument.

Indeed I have. Much like the Wizzard of OZ a tall tale but many still keep it as real.

'I KNOW you are but what am I??' is not the sort of argument a real PhD would use, either.:)
