To climate deniers - Need for change is now

There are 1227 comments on the www.woodburybulletin.com story from Jan 23, 2008, titled To climate deniers - Need for change is now. In it, www.woodburybulletin.com reports that:

All the Latin phrases in the world cannot alter the fact that deniers of anthropogenic global climate change are demonstrably wrong.

We can argue motivation, cui bono, back and forth, but Thomas St. Martin offers no proof for the veracity of the deniers' claims.

The only thing I have denied it that global warming is man made.

On the other hand -- those who believe in the gospel of Al -- and subscribe to faith of human induced global warming have yet to offer proof that

... that the miniscule contribution of humans to the total concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere is the cause of warming

... that CO2 is even significant as a greenhouse gas compared to the much larger proportion of water vapour

... that CO2 rise PRECEEDS warming and not the other way around

... that despite the fact there have been multiple warming and cooling cycles in history -- THIS particular one is caused by industrialization as opposed to all the others.

Just sayin'

Climate change has happened since the creation of earth.

Beware of climate cooling. The plague was a problem during the dark ages cold period and the little ice age. It was not a problem during the roman warm period or the medieval warm period. Bird flu anyone?

During the little ice age, europeans saw glaciers grow for the first time. Medieval europe does not show glaciers, roman europe does not show glaciers. Look at the art from these periods. The advance of glaciers was so unheard of that the people of europe thought that an angry god caused the glaciers to advance. Many were burned at the stake to appease an angry god.

Now we are screaming that the glaciers are retreating, well they really haven't been there all that long. And not for most of recorded history.

Climate is changing and we had better hope that it continues to warm, because it will not stay the same and cooling will literally eat our lunch.

Don't believe, know.

as Al Gore thinks the earth is only 6000 years old, you can see why he thinks 1000AD is prehistoric!
he thinks that Custer killed off the dinosaurs.

What better way for Big Pharma and the food cartel to increase their iron grip on world food production than to have mankind collectively try and starve the plant kingdom of its CO2, so the only food sources that will thrive are their chemically laiden, genetically mutated food sources.

Ice core samples prove that we are not in unusual territory. What we are experiencing today is about as normal as change gets. If this is climate change we are getting off really easy. And there is zero proof that man has done anything. Just speculation and models.

Just say no to global cooling.

Oh well. The naysayers can still play ostrich.
So with 2 weeks coal reserves on the planets,i guess we should go backwards and burn coal.
Better yet,stimulate the economy investing

the evidence is overwhelming that man's burning of fossil fuels have caused the climate to change and global average temps to increase. Stop listening to teh oil and coal co's BS, .... things are changing and the changes have been predicted for decades... and the changes will continue if we don't act quickly and drastically... if we force the changes they will be expensive and nasty

LOL! That sums up Al Gore for me. Gore reminds me of the days when movie stars and other entertainers were given a charity to sponsor. It worked to keep them on the map in peoples' minds regardless of the charity. Gore would have been forgotten by now if he didn't have his pet project: "global warming."

When was the last time a politician took up an environmental issue to this extent? Now, if they'd given "gobal warming" to Britney Spears we'd be laughing our butts off.

Amen. Mother Earth is a complex living organism. There are times when she takes a deep breath and exhales. Just happens that the time is now. And many of us believe that the only subject Al Gore is familiar with is hot air.

What we are going through is Solar Warming.

The sun is going through a hot cycle. Forcing innocent school children to watch Al Gore's movie is nothing but child abuse, because it is scaring them for no reason.

Crippling our economy with nutty regulations and forcing everyone to wear climate awareness ribbons is feel-good nonsense.

If you want to understand the whole global warming carnival show, all you have to do is follow the money-- The multi-billion dollar carbon exchange and watch where Al Gore has invested his money.

The overall long-term trend is Global cooling-- not global warming.
