Will the Arctic sea ice record drop below 3.5 million km^2?

No sign of an ease-up yet.

People can't qualify as 'ice prophets' this close to sea ice minimum. However, on one poll for March 31, 2011, one quarter of the people guessed the 2011 Arctic sea ice minimum would be 3 million square kilometers. Not accurate for 2011, they are pretty close for 2012......... a quarter of them...... pretty close.

Could be a bit more ice melt on the west end of the Northwest Passage, north of Iceland & on the eastern shores of Greenland, before Arctic sea ice begins to build, again. Yeah, it could lose another 300,000+ square kilometers of ice. I'll vote such.

Slowing down a bit?

The latest value : 3,740,781 km2

Another near-vertical drop.

Suggesting a slow down was maybe premature.

Looks like some further potential Arctic sea ice melt north of the Severnaya Zemlya Islands north of Taimyr peninsula of Siberia. Yeah, let's talk sea ice melting north of is. north of Siberia.

The amazing number of 3 votes is testament to how much interest Topix posters have in boring polls like this.

The whole point is that no matter how anyone votes, "it" either will or "it" won't.

Our injun buddy, litesout could try a war dance to frighten "it" I suppose.

If a poll was conducted, asking if 2012 Arctic sea ice area would stay above a minimum of 4 million square kilometers, lots of topix AGW deniers would prove their titles by voting in the affirmative.

Arctic sea ice down to 3,710,625 square kilometers. Seems like quite a bit is melting, retreating north along the Greenland east coast.

I'll be happy when Arctic summer sea ice disappears completely if it'll stop this non-stop barrage of pointless alarmist waffle about melting ice.

The problem is, it won't stop them whining about the melt season getting longer.

Ouch, from the judgement icons, it looks like litesout is tiring of PHDumbo's repetitive garbage.
