I drive 2 vehicles with the 5.7L Hemi engine. I'm doing my part to help along these above average temps. Just trying to do my part, however small.

We'll blame you for the heat-wave crop failures, glacial losses causing record lower ability for mountain water-ice storage, low summer river run-offs, & Arctic sea ice air-conditioning losses.

Actually, big car drivers are in the best position to cut emissions, if they learn good feather-footing techniques to save 10-15% at the gas pumps. Also, if leadfooters become feather footers, they will save 20-25% at the pumps.

And those that drive the mini cars would ride pedal bikes would save 15-10% at the pumps. Are you really really doing enough?

You are trying to send me on a guilt trip that I will turn down, thank you very much. If you want to eat twigs an berries, freeze in winter, broil in summer please be my guest. Take your crusade to a village in India, where the lady of the hut no longer has to form patties of cow dung to dry for cooking fuel now that she can afford a kerosene stove. Tell her hubby its better that he return to doing the back breaking job of carrying water to his crops now that he has a diesel powered irrigation pump. Your efforts are an excecise in futility. Lighten up and enjoy life instead of being captive to this colossal hoax.

Of course, I'm not laying a guilt trip on you. But I am putting more money back in your pocket. You are in a position to save the most...... without buying new equipment.

One leadfooter driver of big vehicles, say averages 15mpg in their cars, would use 50,000 gallons for a lifetime's 750,000 miles of driving. If he would adopt careful driving techniques, could average 17mpg, he would use ~44000 gallons during his lifetime.... a saving of 6000 gallons.

Say, a leadfooter of Prius cars(& there are such people) who 'only' averaged 40mpg would use ~19000 gallons over a lifetime. By featherfooting his Prius to 46+mpg he would save ~1500 gallons. Yeah, yeah, I know their are Prius drivers getting 50-60+mpg!

See! The lead footed big vehicle driver becoming a featherfoot, saves ~4 times MORE fuel than the leadfooted Prius driver becoming an easy footer.

Heat waves are one degree more celsius than they would otherwise have been.

Water flows in the mountain valleys whether there's a glacier there or not.

I prefer spending the extra money on gasoline to driving an underpowered car with a motor-scooter engine. Its my personal choice. Go ahead and drive your pregnat roller-skate or whatever you want to call it. That is your individual choice as well.

Since 't-bone pick-ups' has the low intellectual capacity of all other toxic topix AGW deniers, he doesn't read carefully. In my above posts, I never told him to switch to another vehicle. Using his proudly owned hemi-powered whatever he has, he can run it & save 10%-25% of his fuel costs by being a feather footer. Never told him to switch....... just how to keep more money in his pocket.

“Men, it has been well said, think in herds; it will be seen that they go mad in herds, while they only recover their senses slowly, one by one.”

― Charles MacKay, Extraordinary Popular Delusions & the Madness of Crowds

Yes, join the herd of sheep and buy returnable bags (and pay the supermarket for the priveledge of saving them money on "plastic or paper"), sh*t in a composting toilet, be a locavore, and so on, and that makes you an intellectual. Think independently, enjoy the fruits of your labor and you are an idiot. Hmm... they've got you corraled and ready to shear.

Yeah, no right thinking american, free to use up the resources of the world, would ever be a feather footer..... or consider how to save money.

Ignorance. Heatwaves are not only considerably warmer now, but much longer and more frequent.

Remember Russia two years ago? 15,000 people paid with their lives. Then global wheat supplies ran short, leading to food riots and to the Arab Spring uprisings that continue today.

Oh Lordy, I am but a sinner; where do I go to repent? I beg thee for forgiveness. I will recycle a beer can and hope that this helps me atone. Woe is me, I am doomed to eternal hellfire.
