It says "He would apply 'stringent conditions' to the disbursement of the $1bn. I will look for profitable opportunities, but I will also insist that the investments make a real contribution to solving the problem. HaHaHaHa! "So much for the political nuts who say this is all about liberals trying to get rich. Do you not understand what "profitable opportunities mean.

Apparently not. This is old news, now we have asshats like Tom Steyer going across the land using his money to support his agendized initiatives to be placed on the ballots of several States of the Union. His "group" NextGen are effectively abrogating the will of the people who voted for their representatives to "represent" them. In Michigan, Steyer ran an initiative to increase the REC for alternative energy to something like 50%. He then "negotiated" with the two major power utilities for a 35% REC, then dropped the initiative. He USED the voting public in Michigan to get the initiative qualified for the ballot, then leveraged the qualification for HIS agenda. After he got what HE wanted, he withdrew the initiative. There are a lot of multi-millionaires/billionaire s out there that can afford to hire their own people to collect signatures for ballot initiatives, then use the initiative to extort considerations to the elected legislature without any voter input.

Tom Steyer's bio actually says he is a liberal activist billionaire.

Ok so maybe a compromise in in order. If there is money to be made then it can't be solely a one sided partisan issue. Still, the main point stands that it seems far fetched to blame it all on Democrats. There is a thing called core policy and corruption that affects 90% of those than can get away with something.
