Obamaa s Carbon Dioxide Lies

There are 4 comments on the The Heartland Institute story from Feb 11, 2013, titled Obamaa s Carbon Dioxide Lies. In it, The Heartland Institute reports that:

The utter desperation of the "warmists," the advocates of global warming - now called climate change - is evident in a recent "study" reported in the Daily Caller in which "an international team of researchers" concluded that It is useful to know the composition of the Earth's atmosphere, the object of much fear-mongering by Greens and Warmists.

Heartless writes in desperation. Did they get the message from Nemo?

No, but if you've been worrying that recent storms are linked to climate change, you're right on the mark, according to climate experts like Michael Mann.

Mann explains that we're seeing bigger storms with more snow because of global warming, and compared Nemo and Superstorm Sandy "to a basketball slam-dunk with a lower net." "If you take the basketball court and raise it a foot, you're going to see more slam-dunks," said Mann to HuffPo's Lynne Peeple's.

Michael Oppenheimer, another climate expert at Princeton, agrees. "Storms like this tend to be heavier than they used to be," he told HuffPo. "That's a fact."

In weather terms, that's because warmer temperatures and a moister atmosphere make snowstorms heavier. What we've seen recently is a trend for storms that occur at just-below-freezing temperatures, which means bigger snowfall. "In the past, temperatures at this time of year would have been a lot below freezing," making it too cold for heavy snowfall, said Kevin Trenberth of the National Center for Atmospheric Research in Colorado. "Sea surface temperatures are about two degrees Fahrenheit warmer than they were before 1980, raising the potential for a big snow by about 10 percent."

You don't have to go far to see that we repeating the climate events of the 1950s.

Hurricanes on the east coast, droughts in the farm belt. Been there, done that.

More useless scientific science fiction babble. Spaced out spacedoutblues never noticed the terms (tend to be, are about, are about) they really really don't know. I bet when you fly in that jet it would be just about or tend to be close to the tarmac to land and you would be satisfied.
