Are the voices in your head telling you all this? Why don't you take your meds? They won't talk to you anymore if you take your meds. |

Not nader. He hits the trail as soon as the GOP's check clears the bank. |

You have to love Ralph Nader as he portrays the essence of the true liberal.
Misguided, irrelevant and out of the mainstream. In this case, in spite of his intentions, he might actually do some good. Go Ralph - Suck up some votes buddy. The lunatic left needs someone they can trust, and you are the man. I'm thinking that most of those votes would not have gone for John McCain anyway... Spoil on, brave soldier.. HAHAHAHAHA |

You're a typical insane moron. You should go back to your trailer and do what everyone other white trash does, take advantage of the free social services. Your idiotic thoughts are not welcome, go shoot yourself. |

I like Nader. I like what he stands for. In fact I'd say I'm even to the left of Nader, but frankly he shouldn't be running. He could spoil the election.
In 2000 I understand, and if I was old enough to vote then I probably would've voted for him. The way the candidates presented themselves did make them seem almost exactly the same. The only difference that would've been big enough to matter that I would've voted for Gore to stop Bush is the Iraq War and Bush had expressed opposition to nation-building. If Bush had acted as he promised there wouldn't have been much difference between him and Gore. He'd also probably be a 4-year president voted out by a landslide for his terrible economic policies, and replaced by a president even more progressive than Gore. Third party candidates are good. They remind political parties to remember their base. But there's no excuse for Nader to be running this year when there is a clear difference, the candidates' position on the war. |

You know what I dont understand is how so many people who claim they want better for the people of the country(and the world), can sit there and poke fun at a guy who takes the time to set an example that is being so ignored by the people. I have voted Democrat for years because I dont vote Republican. Why do people resort to only voting for whatever is popular? Two party systems are in fact corrupt. IT IS THE FACT. Why do we waste our time supporting the lesser of two enemies? I cannot and will not poke fun at someone who publicy recognizes what everyone else voluntarily ignores. Its obvious the people have a very long way to go to becoming wise enough to make their own bed.

Nader is corrupt. He has ownership of the mess the country is in now. I think he has been paid off by the Republicans as a spoiler. A vote for Nader is a vote for McCain.

1 Sadly, typical sane person, your are far from typical, as I think you demonstrate keen insight. Sorry I couldn't replicate your entire post, which I found worth reading. Quoting facts to liberals will not work. If this forum is an example, many people are easily duped by the dark bozo and some are quite insane. Pay no attention to them. They are mindless idiots who can only quote from the Saviour Obama playbook and have no thoughts of their own. They don't even know that they don't know, as they are only filled with hate generated by the inability to control others. Don't create tension in yourself as it will not help, and sadly, they cannot be helped. Relax and know that the evil demon Obama will never make it to the White House. It won't even be close. Wait till the debates. He will truly look the buffoon that he is. Encourage your friends and talk to people about how the US cannot afford to be an ObamaNation. The lunatic left is in the minority and will go down the tubes. Stay positive and keep the faith, as there is nothing to worry about. |

1 Actually, a vote for Nader neither adds votes to Obama or McCain. It really has the same impact as just staying home. In fact Nader gets too much blame for losing the 2000 election for Gore. In an exit poll over half of people who voted for Nader would've stayed home otherwise, 25% would've voted for Gore, and 15% would've voted for Bush. And what Nader won by wasn't nearly enough to have taken the win from Gore anyways. http://www.prorev.com/green2000.htm |

1 You must be all "plants," employed by the Democratic party to try and persuade people not to vote for Ralph by posting comments here against Nader. I can see it now. The dumbass Dems will lose the election to McCain in November and once again, drag out that steaming bucket of hog shit, and blame it on Nader. Waaaa, Waaaaa....it was all Nader's fault !!! Waaaa....Waaaa. We lost because Nader got 2% of the vote. Waaaa....Waaaaa !!! The Dems never mention Ross Preot in 1992 who ran as an independent and grabbed a far greater percentage of the votes than Nader ever did. Did you ever hear the Republicans complain about Perot giving the election to Bill Clinton? Nope. Dumb asses !!! If that dumb ass Gore had won his own friggin' state (after he was the VP for 8 flippin years, for Heaven's sake), he would have won that election easily. Gore won the popular vote anyway, but still lost the White House to Bushwacker. If you're going to blame anything, blame that stupid, antiquated Electoral College. |
|
I disagree. The Supreme Court wrested the win from Gore in Florida. Without Nader, Gore would have won Florida and the Presidency. With Jeb Bush as Governor, the Florida election was rigged for Georgie Boy. I want to personally thank Ralph for the deficit, rolling back of women's rights, loss of status of the U.S., destruction of labor laws (illegal immigration is a great thing for some businesses), etc. I stand by my statement. |
|
By the way, I am a Ron Paul supporter - not a Democratic plant. When it comes time to vote, I will have to think long and hard about it. The two party system in this country makes a joke out of the type of democracy our forefathers desired. |
|
Bwaaaa Haaaa Haaaa....you might not be a Democrat, but you certainly are as dumb as one. Nader is corrupt ?..... What in holy Hell are you talking about ? Too many drugs, I guess. So - if Ron Paul, by some mysterious turn of events, gets more votes than Nader, will you agree with the Democrats when they start calling Ron Paul a "SPOILER' if McCain wins ? Huhhhhhh, dumbass ? Everyone in any political race has to win their votes fair and square. Either everyone is a spoiler of everyone else or no one is a spoiler. If not, then I could say that Gore lost the election to Nader, therefore Gore was the "spoiler" in the 2000 election. Like I said, the Democrats never called Ross Perot a "spoiler' in 1992. Why ? Because their man, Bill Clinton, won the election. |
|
You didn't even read the article did you? You're that jaded you just can't accept that your opinion might be wrong. Notice that the exit poll showed that Bush would've won 49% of the vote and Gore would've won 47% if Nader hadn't run? The statistics just don't support the hypothesis that if Nader hadn't run Gore would've won Florida. It's all the Supreme Court's fault for putting Bush in office. BTW, immigrants, legal or illegal are a great scapegoat for America's ruling elite. Blame your corporate masters not some poor worker trying to feed his family. |

Democrats LOVE Nader. Republicans LOVE Libertarians.
There is no reason, therefore, to worry about Nader pulling any more votes from Democrats than Libertarians pull from Republicans. |
|
Ralph provides a necessary relief valve for those voters who would otherwise need to be locked up for having arguments with their invisible friends on streetcorners - and lose the argument.
He is therefore providing a valuable public service. Thanks Ralph Love The Clintoris |
