After failing to override two presidential vetoes, the House Wednesday sent President Bush a simple 15-month extension of the State Children's Health Insurance Program rather than increase funding for it.

These republican pigs don't give a damn about anybody but themselves and their ultra corrupt, rich sponsors! If a tax cut for the richest pigs in the country had been attached to the bill AWOL would have passed it in a heartbeat!!!!

How is that possible "let the kids die", the House and Senate are both controlled by the Democrats. If you read the news besides here, you would have read a couple weeks ago that the House is more interested in their pork instead of coming up with the necessary votes to over ride.

When did the Feds get into the insurance business any way?

I am no fan of Bush, nor most of the Senators, Legislators, etc., but I must admit that they did the right thing by vetoing that. And the same with all others who declined to pass this measure and all similar ones.

I don't even feel like going into what all is wrong with over-taxing one group of people like that. I'm not even gonna explain it unless somebody specifically asks or mentions it. I consider it to be common sense.

Anyway people who do good are appreciated. And that does especially include Politicans, where there are statistically more bad ones than good ones, and where it is (right now) so easy for a person with such power to abuse that power.

The ones who do the right thing are appreciated and will be remembered (and probably rewarded) for it later, when all this Government Corruption has been put a stop to.

Daily Horoscope for January 7

Sagittarius

If you have any worries or problems today, a close colleague could have the answers you seek. Work will be satisfying, and anything to do with children should be very rewarding today. There could be friction with a relative, but it's nothing serious and things will sort themselves out in due course. Again, you must pay attention to your health, Saggitarius: skin infections are a strong possibility at the moment.
