I read an article a while ago the suggested the price increase was due to the descrease in production at the refineries and the cost of refining, partly because of the hurricanes in the Gulf of Mexico.??
We get most of our oil, from our friends in Canada, and Mexico than the Saudis..41% is from here..
Yes refineries are a problem along with drilling here,no one wants it in their backyard..the main problem I see is,us..the United States consumes 26% of the worlds oil..factories, our homes, cars, everything is dependent on oil.Have you any idea how much that is?People don't want to face reality..we are at fault..look at other countries, they do not compare to us,on the use of oil..we need to do something, it will only get worse..

I really don't think it's the Saudi's fault for America's rising oil costs.
The weak American dollar is the main culprit.

Pretty soon I'm going to have to sell my car to get gas money.

This high gas prices are the best thing to happen to the US. Its a blessing in disguise. Yes, a lot of us are hurting, but in the long term, it will force the US to be more energy independent. The US needs to use clean coal more. Also the gassification of coal. Wind turbines are going up like hotcakes here in the midwest. There is talk of using wave action to generate power. And some automakers are talking using solar panels to increase the efficiency of autos. And there is a plan to use the hot exhaust of auto engines to generate electricity to take the AC off of the engine, thus improve engine effiency. Unfortunately GM, Ford and Chrysler will be second tier automakers in a few years since they prefer not to improve the efficiency of their autos.

America grow some balls. What kind of president would go do the sword dance with some raghead? Somebody tell me why we don't just Neutron the desert and go run the refineries ourselves. We eat cows don't we? For Christ's sake, didn't God send us a message this week that there are too many chinamen and too many "carbon footprints" on this earth? It's time to cull so let's get to culling. Ancillarily, what good do all those ragheads in india do anybody but threaten to increase global warming without any discernable positive contribution other than making the purchase of an anachronistic automobile brand. God sent America to clean up his house on earth. Let's get to work.

Bush says to himself, "wow, it was alot easier to borrow from China whenever I asked"

Memo to Bush...they always "your friends" until you ask them to ignore the profit making and do something that would help you.

Ahhh, another member of the courageous "82nd LivingRoomCouch Bridgade, 1st Internet Division".

I'm sure all your thoughts could be accomplished while never moving your pear shaped azz off the couch. Cause someone else will do it. That god for positive only updates on FauxNews.

With FauxNews and your couch, war is a "cakewalk".

The Republicans aren’t doing so well lately.
What could be wrong? Maybe...

The economy going in to the toilet...$3.80+ for gasoline... TWO BOTCHED WARS, giving our troops tanks without much armor, providing substandard treatment in VA hospitals, making the U.S. a country that’s known around the world for TORTURING PEOPLE, then lying about it, doing NEARLY NOTHING ABOUT ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION, preaching on morals, then getting caught having sex in airport bathrooms.

I wouldn't go so far as to say that paying for sex is mostly republican, there are politicians from both sides of the aisle that have paid for sex. Also Jim McGreevey paid hush money to keep his other life a secret. We need to overhaul the 2 party system that this country has. We are getting screwed by both parties right now. They haven't done anything since both have been in power. THROW THE BUMS OUT.
