Once wanted gun control. Then Bush Jr. became my president. Then enemies China-Australia want to destroy America.

When China-Australia invade US in 20 years I WILL BE READY. Knock on my door speech impaired prick I WILL BLOW your goddamn head off.

Gun control doesn't work. Obvious by Australia having one of the highest murder and violent numbers per capita in the developed countries.
Adelaide is still classed as the murder capital of the world!
All gun control has done is taken away the legal guns. Other guns are available easier, cheaper and to more everyday people! Just need to look and you will find.
Australia has virtually no defence force and has made itself an easy target if anybody really wanted us.
The time will come, and the only ones to blame is ourselves.

You wish then your crap city would have some kind of importance instead of being a greenie socialist cesspool. Adelaide @ 1.2m ppl less than 1 murder/wk. Chicago @ 2.8m ppl 3 murders /day.

Chinese imports also threaten the US gun industry of course, no free-trade fist pumping after they start dumping. No matter who or how they fuss or cuss, Australia is much closer to China than they are to us. Oh, what fun, after they are flooded with cheap Chinese guns...maybe making their unarmed citizens grow up, after those cheap Chinese guns start showing up. What they hell, AK-47s will be sending good Australians to Heaven, with those Tokarevs and Makarovs too, boofuckinhoo.

Current gun control in Australia seems to unfairly penalise those who do the right thing, making them jump through all sorts of hoops just to own, store, transport and use a weapon.
The criminals who don't care for laws anyway go about business as usual.

Howard's legislation had been in the pipe for some time, Port Arthur resluted in it's introduction & rushing through parliment.
Nowdays weapons owners are generally viewed with disdain by the sheeple population thanks to the attitude of noisy minority groups & idiots like the Green's Lee Rhiannon who have no clue about anything in particular.

The legislation was designed in reaction to mass shootings. Seems to be working so far.

Why do these other countries have such low homicide rates?

Their children watch the same violent movies and play the same violent video games as our children. They have as much bullying in schools. They have oppressed minorities, and similar rates of non-firearm crime and violence (assaults, robbery, burglary, rape). And they all have crazy people.

But these other countries have stricter gun policies than the United States. And when disaster happens, they typically respond.

Following the 1996 Port Arthur, Tasmania, massacre of 35 people, Australia acted quickly to effectively ban assault weapons. A mandatory buyback obtained more than 650,000 of these guns from existing owners. Australia also tightened requirements for licensing, registration and safe gun storage of firearms.

The result? In the 18 years before the intervention, Australia had 13 mass shootings. In the dozen years since, there has not been a single one. The laws also helped reduce firearm suicide and non-mass shooting firearm homicide

On the other side of the coin...check out Kennesaw County Crime rates. Compulsory gun ownership and no murder for 20 years.
Or Switzerland with mandatory military service and an assault rifle in every home. Both places have below average crime rates.

How many small towns and city districts in Australia have the same or better figures than Kennesaw with NO GUNS.. Any fool can cherry pick.
Now back to why Australia had the gun ban put in place.
It was a direct result of the Mass Murder and it has addressed that well.
LOL. Switzerland, all those assault rifles have NO ammo.
Their licencing system is as strong as Australias.

Seems like East Asian anti-Westerner, Mr Humbert, has found a another little cnut of a friend in you.)) As everyone knows, non-American, Mr Humbert's sole purpose for inhabiting Aussie Topix, over the last 4 years, is to spread lies and slander against the unbreakable cultural/friendship alliance between US - Australia.

Humbert actually trolls for the big power in the Far East. ;) He wants Australia-US alliance broken, Australia exposed to East Asian geopolitical coercion. ;)

Dear Mr Humbert

Instead of backstabbing US and its friends/allies, the best thing you could do for US (apart from being deported back to the non-West, or, more correctly, cease pretending you're physically in the US with your proxy) is volunteering your flabby ass for our joint US/Aussie military target practice exercises in Darwin.))

But, you missed you meds again(!) today.

Time for (yet) another refresher (Humbug never learns):

You dimwitted, slanderous sod.

So it's more lies from the humbugged Goebbels. ;) You're like one of our 9-11 deniers, hoping that the sheer volume of anti-truth posts will sway public opinion.:-)

Gawsh, you're a bullsh1t peddler, Humbert ?)) Read again, word for word. Let it sink in this time. Try your best.

Australia is largely anti-China, you fcukhead. They respect, but are wary of China, as is Japan, Taiwan and South Korea, most of the world. Like US, the Aussies do business with the Chinese. The Chinese aren't interested in true democracy and Western freedoms. The West isn't interested in dictatorship and repression.

1) We, the US are China's largest trade partner.
(You don't understand that, do you Goebbels ? You're a total fcuktard on a slanderous vendetta against Australia).:-)

2) USA imports more from China than any other country. We've also greedily and stupidly off-shored much of our manufacturing there, fool.

3) USA EXPORTS more to China than any other Western country. Yes, we, the USA. Even in 2010 our exports to China grew by a 32 %.

We are fast-tech-ing China up. Why do we Americans do this ? Personally think this is unwise, but, there we have it. Handing our some of our technology over to China, giving the Chinese our tools.

For your slow brain - repeat: China is now USA's biggest overseas export market, fool. USA EXPORTS more to China than any other Western country. You still don't understand this, do you, Goebbels ? ;)

In the last decade since Beijing joined the World Trade Organization, US exports to China have risen 468 percent to $91.9 billion, compared to a 55 percent rise in US exports to the rest of the world. No other Western country has this record.

Personally, being in Australia is like being at home. Americans have more problems living in Europe. Working at it, aren't you, you anti-Australian fcukstain ?:-) Your mountain of anti-Australian bile is staggering.

Minnow Australia only has 23 million people. A small economy. Leave them alone.

Australians are a great people and the cultural bond between Australia and us, the USA, is unbreakable. We, the USA are Australia's LARGEST investor, you idiot. Sigh.

In fact, Australia is more traditional, more Western than our country, than just about any British-settled country.

Its much more dominated by UK and European peoples than the US is. This is why I and many Americans also like Australia, despite me personally having no qualms about different races/cultures.

Most Americans feel Australia is "like USA was 20 years ago" (a comment one hears every few years), in terms of being less stressful with less social problems (despite what BS you read on Topix).

Besides, a lot of Americans live and work there. We have increasing military operations and presence within the Australian region. We have global strategic missile defense surveillance based there. We have strategic interests in east and south Asia. You're an uneducated loon. You're against mainstream USA. You're against US government wishes. You're a divisive anti-Western fcuk. ;-)

The West stick together, especially the culturally similar countries of Canada, USA, Australia, UK. If not the wider EU/West.

Boohoo for Aurora because it's now old news, since this recent Sikh shooting in Wisconsin. Now, I have to go there to whine with my "GENUINE $19.99 MAKESHIFT SHRINE" so that I can whine for free publicity and TV time, by going and showing there to show how much I really care. Sorry, Mayor Bloomturd and nagging gun-grabbing nannies, much to your regret, I am not willing to donate or hate my guns yet; despite this Sikh shooting making your panties wet.

??? Old Cold Warriors and Pentagon-PAC-rat porkers are deranged and strange, not wanting to give up the empire of the good old days, about which they bitch because we are no longer rich, and for which we can no longer play. They should, if they don't, sit in front of their TVs and watch DVDs of "Victory at Sea". Suffering from John Wayne Brain gives us all pain.
