Dec 12, 2012 Full story: The Orlando Sentinel 48

The Supreme Court's announcement last Friday that it will take up gay marriage is more than a chance for the justices to recognize the emerging national consensus in support of gay rights.

This young man should have kept his bedroom out of the equitation, hes planted a seed that's growing into a ugly tree. That is the one item that has been holding us back. this is repulsive to hedro's, we've seen it time and time again. he wasted a whole lot of money going to Princeton to ask stupid questions to a homophobic judge.
Thank's kid you made a hard job harder!

Homosexuality is abnormal behavior period. Also they will be forcing preachers who don't agree with lifestyle to marry gays. How's that right? Wanna get married then go see a judge !!

There is no "gay gene" ,, people choose to be gay! They were treated bad by their parents or just thought they weren't pretty enough for opposite sex... We are facing economic Armageddon and people more concerned about 1% of abnormal population getting married!!

Seriously? No church has to marry anyone. Do Catholic churches HAVE to marry Lutherans? My God, it's people like you that cloud so many issues.

Yes, I'm sure Ricky Martin, Matt Bomer, Rock Hudson, James Dean, et al..., decided they just weren't pretty enough for the opposite sex. That must be it. Apparently you must be either blind, stupid, or both.

If Scalia is happy living in the 11th century, then let him. He won't live forever.

The LA Times did a good article about this on Sunday. They say Kennedy will probably be FOR the gays, despite being conservative. He is savy enough to realize that history is on his side and does NOT want to be remembered down the road as the obstructionist in this case. It is like the justices who were on the bench during "Brown VS Board of Education." In 20 years or so this will be such a non issue. Let Scalia lie miserable in his grave and think on this for eternity.

They (founding fathers) knew times can blind us to certain truths and later generations can see that laws once thought necessary and proper in fact serve only to oppress." (Justice Kennedy in Lawrence.)

No. He's not serious. He's just presenting old, discredited ideas as of they are true. He's a plain and simple liar.

He will not join the 21st century. Instead he needs to join the favourite hangout of Chicago registered voters - the cemetery.

One reason for that is their sky-high homicide rate which the bleeding-heart liberals do nothing about. Why isn't The Obamaniac or his hand-picked boss, Emmanuel, doing anything about THAT ?! Isn't this SUPPOSEDLY The Obamaniac's "hometown" ? Obviously he doesn't care at all about the sluaghter of people going on there.

Chicago is only 1/3 the size of New York, yet it's homicide rate is 400% that of New York's Why is tha ? Don't the Democrats care about that ? Why aren't the democrats screaming "GUN CONTROL !" about the carnage in Chicago that is occurring on a daily basis ?!

Scalia's job is not to advocate a personal position, but to interpret the Constitution. Personally, I disagre with the idiots who would like to mangle the constitution into a bunch of "suggestions." I agree with the original intent types. And the mental midgets like JohnInToronto and NoCalNative are the usual hypocrites who whine if anybody dares say anything they don't approve of, yet are the first to engage in childish name calling about somebody who can't answer them. Frankly, kids, you are no better than the anti gay types who stupidly call you perverts. Justice Scalia is worthy of respect even if you aren't.

Your compassion for a legal scholar who may dare disagree with your completely non-legal based opinion is noted. Compare your tantrum with the idiot anti gays types and note your similarities.

My guess is that Scalia might consider this a states rights issue which would benefit your side, but not give you the instant gratification your side seems to demand (under penalty of tantrum).

Supreme Court decisions are not a function of public opinion. They are a function of (unemotional, dispassionate, reasoned) law. When the idiots figure this out, they might actually figure out how to accomplish something.

P.S. How's Palm Springs? Have a good holiday.

You decide that a sitting Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States needs to be dead. And you wonder why rational people ridicule you? And you wonder why your arbitrary and hypocritical hate does your cause and your side abosutely no good?
