I don't plan to hold my breath waiting. Especially after what we have been through here in Porterville the last 3 weeks.
Your town is an example and proof that California is a microcosm of the entire U.S., with everything found elsewhere ... and in about the same demographic proportions.

Those who say California is "crazy" are merely looking in a mirror, and have some idea about how the world views the U.S..

He also did not approve of Freedom Of Speech just as you Democrats do not.(EXACTLY why The Obamaniac has an "ENEMIES LIST" to target people who oppose his Stalinist policies).

Um, you do realize I do not support Democrats .... well, I don't support any party for that matter and think your blind partisanship is just insane. I have also fought against Obama on several issues, lost one of those battles, we didn't discover ACTA until it was too late to protest it. But we also fought Bush on a lot of things as well, because we don't care about parties.

Redheads (I suppose especially gay redheads) are fairly rare. In fact, in 20 years of going to gay bars, both as a patron and as an employee, I cannot recall ever seeing a redhead at any of the bars I frequented or worked at.

We are rare! We're in not one, but two, minorities- so our ranks are pretty sparse! I'm 50, and have only met a few gay redhaired men! But it's been very beneficial, in my experience! I guess guys think the fire crotch thing is a myth!

Speaking of gay bars, why hasn't someone started a thread (maybe on another forum) about stories by current or former workers at gay bars? You know there's fertile ground for some crazya55 tales! Pun intended.

I wonder if redheads are becoming more rare, because I remember seeing more redheads, both kids and adults, when I was a kid in the 60's, and I can't remember the last time I saw a redhead.

Although one possible explanation is that Queens Village, where I lived in the 60's, was a very Irish neighborhood and nearly all my friends and neighbors were Irish.(O'Leary, Clayton, Maguire, Walsh, Shaughnessy, McGowan were all on just our one block).

I may get into trouble for this but: Our society is more ethnically mixed today- more than ever before! Whereas whites tended to mate and marry others whites 30 years ago, now America has become more tolerant and thereby, diverse! So, the more dominant traits in non-whites naturally overtake recessive ones, like redheadness. I mean, I'm no geneticist; just one man's theory!

That may certainly be part of the reason. I think in the past it was more common to marry in your own ethnic group, than it is today. For instance I know many people of Irish descent who married people of Italian descent.

And Ireland and Scotland have populations with the highest percentage of redheads! But it's a genetic trait not typical of any one ethnicity. As we become more open culturally, dominant physical traits will appear more frequently and recessivism will be less and less common. But it'll be fun for those of us still around!

I agree.

And there are a great variety of redheads.

Yes! All sorts of delicious colors and persuasions of us! I have also done extensive research into how easily white, submissive, redheaded recessives can be overtaken by strong, dark-haired, dark-skinned dominants! Years and years of devoted research!
