I was always a loyal Democrat voter until that draft dodger ran for office.
I volunteered for the Navy, twice. As a veteran, I lost all respect for the Democrats when they chose that draft dodging son-of-a-bitch as their candidate, and despised what th is country had become when they elected him.
Thanks for your service, but you do know that Bush was a republican don't you?

Fair enough and that is your right but you do realize that Clinon was against the Vietnam war while Romney spoke out in favor of the same war only to than get 4 deferments and go to France .

As a fellow veteran (Army) I find that tad hypocrite but than again I am not a republican who considers Rush Limbaugh and Ted Nugent actual patriots.

I do not give a damn if someone serves or not but to speak out for any war while getting out of it yourself is rancid .

I do not understand what you mean by volunteered TWICE?

You mean you re-enlisted or you got out than went back in?

Did it bother you when Cheney said that he had "better things to do" than go to Vietnam?

After all that is for the "little" people.

Did it bother you that Kerry served and by the time the GOP finished with him you would have thouht that he pulled a Rush Limbaugh?

Republicans drape the flag around themselves and act like children, their base eat up all that lame pubescent symbolism.

I did not find Bush competent but from what we have now in the Tea party junta he is a breath of fresh air.

I never found Bush malicious but find many in the "new" GOP malicious.

No, it's known as hypocrisy. It's in the Republican DNA.

As a veteran, you should know that running off to Canada when your number came up was a felony.

Hypocrite or felon? Such a difficult choice.

I don't consider Limbaugh or Nugent to be anything. I pay no attention to either of them.

I had broken service & have 2 Honorable Discharges.

Cheney is an asshat. I don't care if Kerry served or not. His record as a civilian offends me.

Were it up to me, the privilege of voting would be reserved to those that have served. We have millions of people in this country that vote who's idea of serving is to hold their hand out and say "gimme."

Yes, the party that waves the flag they are scared shitless to defend. Let the "other people" go to fight their wars.

No one could really believe Bush was malicious. It was that five deferment frightwingnut draftdodger Cheney telling him what to do.

And I suspect you are a lost job away from parasite yourself. Most Americans are.
And what woulds YOU propose? Cut off the unemployed, the disabled, the elderly, and all of the working poor? Let's see how secure YOU are, when others begin to starve.
A large percentage of the population stealing to survive and dying in the streets woulds simply be bad for business.
People like Aphelion are the type of people who voted for Tea party supported, Florida Gov Rick Scott, the CEO who paid the highest medicaire fraud fine in USA history.

He they have no problem with but some disabled elderly lady who needs assistance ,her they hate.

HEY!!!!!! Good to see you my friend, long time.

I recall how down we were when Rick Scott, Rubio and Bondi won but now it is joy.

The state is changing.

Did you get your Marco Rubio robo call ,warning how bad gay equality would be and why we must keep the corrupt David Rivera in office and vote for Romney ?

What a pile of human crap and gladly Rivera was kicked out, corrupt as hell ,fascist MY-AMI mierda.

Even "Chicken little" Allen West was fired.

Rick Scott is next.

Okay that is what I thought when you said volunteered twice, it is unusual to get out than go back in.

"As a veteran, you should know that running off to Canada when your number came up was a felony."

Clinton didn't have a father in politics and connections to do what Romney did and I have no problem with anyone who is against war who gets drafted and takes off.

I got out few yrs ago ,as you know volunteer military.

"Were it up to me, the privilege of voting would be reserved to those that have served"

That is 100% insane , not even 99%,lol but the whole 100%.
Just because we served does not mean that we are "better" and greater patriots.

Look at all those who improve the country with charity work .

God help us if only veterans could vote and suspect you might sing a different tune if you were to see the growing number of "Veterans for Peace".

Conservatives they are not.

All citizens should be able to vote and if I had any say in it even those with felony records should be able to vote once they get out.

If it was up to you then, there wouldn't be enough Republican voters to elect a dog catcher.

Yes, happy you're back. Hope you're right about Scott and West. And Rubio should be ashamed of himself.
