I know a couple straights (and bisexuals in hetero relationships) my age 25-35 who are doing this. My sister has been in a relationship with her boyfriend as a non-married couple for almost 8 years, but while they have been committed, they refuse to be married until marriage is equal and legal everywhere in the States. They don't care if that means they will never marry. They do go to gay marriage rallies and pride events to support the cause, but they know it will be a long fight, but we know it's worth it.
