Tulare County. No surprise there.

So much for the City motto "All America City".

----------

In the 2008 annual report of the American Lung Association the city was ranked the third most polluted in the country (after Pittsburgh and Los Angeles), and the fourth for highest year-round particulate pollution.

Their U.S. Congressperson, Devin Nunes, is Republican and to date has authored one book, "Restoring the Republic", published in 2010 by WND.(yes, THAT WND)

Mt. Whitney is in Tulare county. Tallest mountain in the Contiguous USA. And the otherwise pristine high Sierra wilderness. I have hiked it many times over the last 40 years. And studied it as a geologist. What a shame that topographic features cause the concentration of air pollution in the San Joaquin valley to encroach on the High Sierra.

The people who live in Tulare County suffer because of it. They die a little younger. But they are not bad or stupid people.

They voted for Nunes AND for PropH8.

They need to commit to alternative energy and non-polluting transportation.

The Central Valley needs to cease acting like the Oklahoma annex.

First, what do you have against OK;
Second, There are some very good people here; but, those from the "Religious Reich" are even more crazy than your usual "thumper".

Lastly, We also have Kevin McCarthy and right now it appears he wants to help trash our economy, again.

Actually the city motto is "In God we Trust". So no wonder we have an over abundance of "thumpers".

Those are their roots. Okies and Mexicans. Good hard working people. The best.

The air pollution is due to the Valley’s unique geographic and meteorological conditions and it's agricultural base. Not the Okies.

We have people living here who have "roots" all over the world. Why do you ONLY say that the Air Pollution is not caused by the "Okies", which by the way is a some what offensive term to those from Oklahoma.

Yes the shape of the Central Valley aggravates our AP then still more is supplied to us from the "Bay Area" where people don't even follow the same AP rules as the rest of the State.

Yes there are some good hardworking people who live here; but, we also have way too many who are so wrapped up in their Bible that they can no longer think for themselves and when you point out the TRUTH with sources they still fall back on their Bibles.

On the other hand if any of these "yahoos" "think" that after 66 years they are going to chase me or my husband out of town, guess what. Not going to happen

First, Sooners.
Second, the Dust Bowl.
Third, radical Dominionist, Christian Reconstuctionist Fundamentalism.
Fourth, PropH8.

Shall I go on?

Let your "good people" make their voices heard and repeal their anti-gay legislation.

SO it's the rocks and hills that are polluting the air?
