Save it.
Your nephew eJohn just admitted that he pulled the whole thing out of his ass.
Please cite the post where I "admitted" that?

Or are you one of those trolls that has to twist what other people post into things they didn't say so that you can answer what you want?

If there are so many translations, it should be simple to provide me the quote from at least one of them.
If it existed, that is.
Is there anything else that isn't actually IN the Bible that you want to provide us the definitive interpretation for, or are you done?
I love it. First you want me to cite the chapter and verse for you so that you can "read the original text" (and likely argue with me about it's "real" meaning, which I have no interest in doing). Then, when I point out that even if I did that, you still wouldn't be reading the original text because so many versions of those texts exist.

Then you shift gears away from demanding I show you the text to declaring that it doesn't exist at all, so the original text is irrelevant, likely because you don't want to believe that Jesus practiced unconditional love and didn't hate or reject anyone.

Jesus never attached any strings to his inclusiveness, never judged, and never hated people that didn't do what he wanted them to do, despite how badly the religious crazies of today wish he had.

Don't worry. We're not surprised. Your type always manages to convince yourself that Jesus held all the same prejudices and irrational hate that you hold. How very convenient for you.

Where to start.

First, you were the one who lectured me RE: the proper interpretation of a quote that you youself supplied.

I just asked for the citation for the quote you supplied, and 10 posts or so in you still haven't supplied it. Not sure how that's on me, but whatever makes you feel better about yourself.

"Jesus never attached any strings to his inclusiveness, never judged, and never hated people that didn't do what he wanted them to do, despite how badly the religious crazies of today wish he had."

Jesus recognized sin (John 8:11) and spoke of hell (Luke 16:22-28).

He said if you deny Him, He would deny you to God the Father.(Matt. 10:33)

So, wrong there. Looks like there were strings attached. For everyone-not a gay/straight thing.

Sorry I popped your bubble. Next time you use a quotation and lecture people about how to interpret it, maybe check to make sure it really exists before you pop off.

Congratulations! You just argued that Jesus was as shallow and pointless as you are.

Actually, I was pointing those qualities out about you.

First, you lecture the board about what Jesus believed/taught, providing what you stated was the only possible interpretation of a quote you provided.

When I asked you to actually cite the quote you were holding court on, all of a sudden your infallible interpreation of Jesus' beliefs and teachings wasn't so important, as you didn't have time to look up what had now mysteriously morphed from the fulcrum of your argument to "meaningless verse".

Quit while you're behind.

You're the one that's questioning Jesus' unconditional love for God's children, not me. Why are you questioning that? Does it bother you that Jesus didn't hate all the same people that you hate?

Why don't you go to any Ivy League university and share your "thoughts"? Even at Notre Dame everyone under 45 would realize something's seriously wrong with you.

Your quote above does not negate the claim - jaysus was not about your sort of sexually driven hate and misogyny. Jaysus was about loving even the dispossessed, whether the dispossessed "sin" or not.

Now, since you're so wrapped up in an obsessional quilt of "sin" why don't you go to Yale and start _equally_ railing against all those who take the lawd's name in vain?(Because it's not about scripture or jeesus - it's about your fixation on all things homosexual.)

You are not reading the Bible very carefully. Yes, the Bible has people who married multiple wives, but in every case the men had bad things happen that the Bible is very clear were things they caused by their own behavior - i.e. fornication and adultery, having multiple wives. The Bible states things directly, but it also tells stories that serve as lessons for living for all men and women. Liberals choose to ignore that and also twist, twist, twist Biblical meaning for the convenience of themselves. I won't say homosexuals do that because there have been many self-avowed homosexuals who chose to follow God and left the homosexual behavior behind.
Levirate marriage pretty much mandates polygamy. What now?

I think you ignore the word tolerate and the fact that China had gay marriage for near 2 millenia. So much for bad things when the Han Dynasty in China was a golden age and there was not a single emperor without male spouses. They were also polygamists too up until a few generations ago.

Homosexuals are proof that Satan exists.
And if Satan exists, ergo, therefore it follows, God must exist.
