Gee, I wonder if a priest who has molested children is even sacred enough to administer communion. Methinks their priorities are in the wrong place.
It's called, "ex opere operato".

Only someone who is unwilling to face reality for what it is needs religion. Religion and gods take the place of "I don't know. Let's find out." and leave us with "This mystery is unsolvable and we just accept that because it is divine..." RUBBISH!

No one NEEDS religion - people are religious FOR ONLY TWO REASONS:
1) Their parents gave them no choice as a child

2) They refuse to think for themselves.

I applaud this young man's willfullness for thiking for himself! We need more people capable of independent thought in this world to expunge it of this disease called "religion".

I'm not a Christian but if the Minn. Teen wants to get confirmed he can join the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. The Evangelical Lutheran Church is the largest church in Minnesota and came out against Minnesota's anti-gay marriage amendment. Sounds like the perfect church of the Minn. Teen to get confirmed in.

The RCC have now become the thought police.
If you don't think the way they want you to they will deny you the sacraments.
One would think they are in the business of social modeling rather than saving souls.
Time for them to be taxed into oblivion.
They always were the thought police...

Since when? I received confirmation from the priest in my church, as did everyone else. They just need to be authorized by their bishop. That's common, especially in small rural parishes where you never see the bishop.
In the new Code of Canon Law, the circumstances under which a presbyter (priest) may Confirm a candidate are extremely circumscribed. Mere inconvenience to the bishop isn't one of them.

There are a couple of instances where such can occur:

- where a baptized candidate is in imminent danger of death

- at the baptism of a fully prepared adult convert from a christian sect whose baptism is recognized by the RCC

These are to be considered SINGLE cases, and are not the prerogative of just any presbyter, but rather to one specially appointed for the purpose.

In circumstances related to inability of the bishop to administer the sacrament, it is the duty of the bishop to arrange for another bishop to fulfill the responsibility.

http://www.vatican.va/archive/ENG1104/__P32.H...

It is important to understand that in the RCC system priests do not stand in apostolic succession from the apostles, and so do not by virtue of their partial ordination possess the charism of calling down the Gifts of the Holy Spirit upon anyone.

This is all RCC metaphysical theology.

I am so glad to be shut of it.

You think this is bad? Wait until God denies this person entry into Heaven because of the evil in which they are engaged.

I actually observe the law commanding NOT to eat shellfish or pork, and do it for a religious reason, but not because that command is found in the Old Testament.

They call it "defecting" when you leave the church, I considered the contract of confirmation fraud as they espoused that the church was about love and forgiveness. Instead the catholic church is full hate, bigotry, lies and greed.

So why do so many people insist on belonging to it ?
