MTV to air bisexual dating show

A bisexual dating show featuring a woman who gained fame on MySpace is in the works for MTV. "A Shot at Love With Tila Tequila," in which 16 men and 16 women will compete for Tequila's affections, is set to debut Oct. 9 on the cable channel, Television Week reported Thursday. "Tila Tequila made a name for herself by doing things her way, captivating legions of fans online, both men and women," said MTV executive Tony DiSanto. "Now she is taking that attitude and sex appeal to her own TV

Cool Beans make Hot Fart like you! There's lots of thangs out there...lets have a show starring a transgender (in process) having an affair with a bisexual who happens to have an interest in threesomes with a child involved. WOW it's about time we get our non earned constitutional rights! Call in the ACLU if anyone dares breathe a word of opinion against it!
Bitter Bitter little twit, I've yet to see a law requiring you to watch it or one requiring you to NOT block it off your cable box...
Dating shows are a bore but if MTV believes they can make a go of it, more power to them. I've yet to see any dating show attempt to include someone that was under the legal age of consent so your little hyperbole/rant is just chalked up to the rest of your usual inanity.

Actually, that's only 1 bisexual and 16 straight men and 16 gay women. "Bi" people give gay people a bad name. Just when people are starting to accept gay people, they have to now deal with people that will just %@%&* any hole. It doesn't help. This girl is going to come off as trashy and make us all look bad.

Since when is one person suppose to represent all lgbt people? It's not the Kiwanis Club, it's not a waiter at the Ritze, one person does not exemplify all others.

Plus MTV has been boring for almost 2 decades now. They can air anything and no one will watch.

Youtube is the new MTV. MTV is the new CSPAN.

I have a feeling this will not be educational in the slightest and will rely on stereotypes and emotional exhibitionists for entertainment value... so don't get too excited about it's benefits to the bisexual community.
I mean have there been any straight dating shows that don't make people look venal and pathetic?

MTV, anyone remember when music was just music? Now they have an agenda. I enjoy music not shows about a switch hitter transfering disease from one community to another.

MTV,...? Does that channel still exist?

Back in the day when MTV actually had music I used to keep it on most of the time. Even their music news was ok, but only for the 30 minutes.

Now MTV (Music Television) never has music, just crappy reality shows that dumb kids watch so I doubt this new show will get much exposure (or seasons).

So it doen't make much difference if someone if against the show, or all excited (duh),.. It will just be another crappy, bad, dumb, silly, brain dead, psuedo reality show like all the others trying to get advertizing dollars.

Thanks for being hateful within our own community. Yeah, right, all bi people are only looking for sleezy sex. It's sad when people within the gay community attack each other on top of the hate from outside the community.

Thank God you don't speak for us all - only a tiny minority of LGBTQers think the way you do.

Bisexuals do exist. It doesn't mean that they aren't monogamous when in a relationship! I thought we were long past this misunderstanding. Bisexuals are attracted to both sexes, and make their choice of partners from a much wider field. When in relationships, they have the same number of faithful members, cheating members, and user members as the heterosexual world. Most partnered bisexuals are monogamous, at least in my experience.

So the women on the show will be 100% bisexual or lesbian, the men on the show will be 100% straight or bisexual. I'm pretty sure that the shows intent drew interest from a higher number of bisexuals than are represented in the general population, so I'm guessing that of the total number of contestents (32) around 50%(16) are bisexuals, 25%(8) are straight men, and 25%(8) are lesbians. Of course, I could be wayyy off base, and often am, human nature being as complex as it is - so I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

The only LGBTers that I'm aware of that still have those anti-Bi feelings are usually the ones that have had direct issues with a Bi individual. Truth be known, among every group out there that you can name there are a tiny minority that give the majority a bad name. I chalk the earlier comment up to that same fact.

You are right in that a small minority tends to give the majority a bad name. As a bisexual myself though, I have experienced more hatefulness from within the gay community than from straights. I have heard that I am, "Indulging my every whim," and that, "Someday I will have to decide," to name just a couple of the kinder things I have been told by gays. Why can't they grasp the concept that I HAVE made up my mind?
A small minority of those who call themselves bisexual may, "just %@%&* any hole," but even within the gay community all of us get painted with that very broad stereotype brush. I personally don't even consider those people bisexual, they have a sexual addiction perhaps. Bisexuality, like homosexuality, is not just the act of sex, it is the emotions of the individual, and every individual is different.

I hope that this show portrays bisexuals as the majority of us really are, but I seriously doubt that. These reality shows certainly haven't shown straights as the majority really are on past shows. I doubt I will bother to watch it. And I too agree that I wish MTV would get back to their roots and show some music videos now and then!
