Moronic, bigoted BS from an educator! Might as well say sex is a choice, either you have it or don't. Now everyone can choose to not have sex, the 'choice' is yours.

Okay, so why do people choose to be straight?

Stupid Peter, sexuality is a drive, not a behavior. Sex is the manifestation of that drive. Sexuality is strong enough in straight communities to cause unwanted pregnancies, prostitution, cheating, STD's, divorce, etc. Why should the heterosexuals get to have all the fun?

Really if Peter has the choice on which gender he is attracted, then he is bisexual and his argument would assume that everyone is bisexual.

For that matter isn't "marriage" a lifestyle choice?

The whole idea of choice being significant in whether the government treats Citizens equally under the law is a red herring.

We choose our religion. That is protected. We choose who to vote for and that is protected. We choose what we eat, how we exercise and hundreds of other things. No one thinks of passing laws denying citizens Constitutional rights because they are Presbyterian or Catholic, eat meat or don't. So why aren't gays and lesbians treated just like everyone else?

Because of prejudice and bigotry.

As is having a church wedding. One doesn't NEED to involve religion to get married in this country.

Are you saying that homosexuals are less than human and have no choice in whether or not to engage in the God-forbidden unspeakable acts that alone define and identify homosexuals?
words anti-gays refuse to live by:

"...and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us"

"...and forgive us our sins as we forgive the sins of others..."

Merry Christmas to you anyway.

You have chosen the sacred anniversary of my birth to engage in more of your evil, hypocritical, and judgmental behaviour. You are vile, less than human, and irredeemable. You will therefore rot in hell for eternity.

Merry Christmas to you anyway.
Regrettably (and still, respectfully), your quotes imply some assumptions that are at least rebuttable if not demonstrably false:

1) simply because of their sexual orientation, gay people have committed "trespasses" that need forgiveness;

2) that gay people need "forgiveness" for being gay;

3) that sin even exists.

One doesn't need to be anti-gay to refuse to live by such propositions with respect to these assumptions. I know I don't.

I don't agree that being gay is 'trespassing' or a sin.

The anti-gays will never admit we are all part of God's creation. They need someone to point to so that people won't look too closely their own evil.

Today on Christmas day I mourned the loss of a mother and over a dozen schoolchildren. My heart aches for that town. The last time I saw my own mother alive was 29 years ago on Christmas Eve when we took her to the hospital because the cancer was killing her. An anti-gay troll got offended that I'd remind people of the tragedy in CT in the hopes their hearts might change.

Nnnnnnope, you're doing it wrong again and again and again and again and again. It is *orientation* which drives acts of sex; to ignore one's *inborn orientation* is one way of claiming "gay = choice"; here, because an antigay individual claims "gay sex = choice," that individual deems himself/herself clever.

When we see a national *SCREECHING* and *SCREECHING* that heterosexuals stop *ALL* acts of sex except for procreative purposes, then the antigay have room to talk.

Until then, the antigay *are* committing acts of social rape when they make statements like this, repeatedly attempting to *force* gay people to stop doing what they're doing -- naturally ... just as heterosexuals do.

Period.

You antigay people are dumbasses and you're pathetic at this point, plain and simple. You're acting as if straight people *can do whatever they want* while gays "must lead a life of celibacy"; not gonna happen, and you're *wasting every breath and every calorie of energy* in attempting to get this to happen. Face it: You're scumbags with no moral character and no backbone who are repeatedly attempting to *force* a nonexistent "morality" upon others to whom it doesn't apply and with whom it has nothing to do. Get the fuck over it or go suck your snotty, self-serving, parasitic tears somewhere else, where people who are leading their lives in peace don't have to hear you acting like hemorrhaging, spineless minions of satan.

The end.
