So how did your brother become gay, assuming that you were both raised by the same parents? No one becomes gay by being introduced to some "alternative lifestyle." They are born with a predisposition to be attracted to the same sex and no amount of parenting can change that. But I wish you good luck in raising your children to be happy, healthy individuals.

I agree that people are born with their sexual inclination. Some people require more sex, some are seldom interested, some are hetero, some prefer same sex etc but you can't deny that children are impressionable and tend to follow or imitate someone they admire. There are many people (Gay, Straight or otherwise) who don't have a high sexual morality. Not that I think all Gay people are child predators, those are two different sexual issues.
A lot of the people involved in youth camps tend to be young adults and they may also lack the ability to govern themselves. They may also view young teens as contemporaries. The opportunity for mistakes is just too prevalent.

Being exposed to drug use reinforces the acceptability of it just as exposure to a lack of sexual morality indicates it's ok.

Lets shove homosexuality in the faces of our children, but take prayer and the pledge of alligance away from them. What the fuc* is going on in this country? Cant the queers accept the fact that they may not be accepted in some groups? This will be the death of the Boy Scouts, oops I mean the Queer Scouts.

Homo- and heterosexuality have nothing to do with one's sexual morality.

Do you really think that there aren't already homosexuals in the Boy Scouts that just haven't come out to their peers?

There's always Queers in the closet. There's also closet fa$$ots trying to infiltrate the scouts as leaders under false pretenses to be around little boys. Sad situation.
Then why are you bitching? Now you can openly come out and be around all the little boys you want instead of hiding it.

"Gays" are everywhere.
The nursing profession.
The actors guild.
The fashion industry.
The food industry.
The government.
The military.
Some of these people are"in your face" with their chosen lifestyle while others are descrete. This day and age there are more people crying about what they are,how society discriminates against them, owing to a sense of entitlement that just doesnt exist.
if a person is gay; or whatever; so be it! all i ask is that you conduct yourself in a manner that is appropriate....

Being more on the feminine side of things wouldn't it make more sense for them to be allowed into the girl scouts? They call each other girlfriend, divas, etc. The girl scouts have arts and crafts, cookies...why the boy scouts? Has anyone bothered to ask how the boys in the scouts feel about this? Or are they just pushing tolerance? Just a few thoughts...

Aside from the military where those boys can take care of themselves. Which profession did you list that involves young boys camping/sleeping with homosexuals?

Example: a veteran from WWll that I knew personally, told me there was a "gay" in her unit...this person never bothered her, never came on to her; why?, because she was heterosexual.
it's not so much asbeing gay as it is being gay and suffering with a mental illness along with being gay.

Along with aside from military, try to explain to me how being homosexual isn't a mental illness in itself. Seems to me there's some wires crossed.

When we bring up the subject of gays why does everyone assume they are incompetent to the social classes...
I'm not condoning such behavior just saying that with any "social misfit " whether it be homo, hetero, lez, or whatever ; its not so much the label that concerns me but more the mental diseases that run rampant among all walks of life.

So you're basically stating that they are social deviants and mentally ill? But yet it's OK to have them around our children in the boy scouts, our schools, etc.?

I can't explain why some choose this alternative lifestyle ..
As for the percentage of the "trans- gender " was it a fluke of nature, illicit drug use by the mother,? Simply just don't know .

Thank you. I have my personal beliefs on the issue, but I also have an open mind to any facts that may persuade me to think differently. What I'm getting so far is...it's a "choice" of lifestyle, not something they are predisposed to? They are just "choosing" to be deviants and we as a society are expected to tolerate, accept, and allow said deviants around our children. Am I correct?

Let me take this up a step. If I were to prance down the street in my underwear, tossing glitter and confetti, and waving a rainbow flag. Shouting "I deserve the right to teach your children and spend the night with your children." Do you think I'd be carried off in a straitjacket? Even though I wouldn't be doing anything different from what the gays do.
