Illinois Senate Committee Passes Marriage Equality Bill To Full Senate

The Illinois Senate Executive Committee has approved the Illinois Religious Freedom and Marriage Fairness Act. The vote ended up being 9 to 5. SB10 will now go before the Senate floor. The vote will come on 14 February. Full Story

Wow, Illinois, New Mexico and Rhode Island may include marriage equality for same sex couples this year. Though we failed in Wyoming, that fact they even considered it there is a victory. Overseas, England and France are closer to equality than ever.

Since all the governors of Illinois are always in prison, can they sign a bill into law while they're in prison ?
