So then why all the comments I have seen (not implying you) that claim McCain was not eligible. By your statements, and the other poster, he is eligible because parents are American, regardless of birth place. Just saying. It certainly seems a double standard.
I'd chalk it up to the foolishness of partisan politics.

What do you say about a government that allows its citizens to be defrauded for countless $?
The sad thing is that if the fraud is low enough, it would actually cost a lot more to track it down and stop it than it does to just the standard process work. The welfare system (in most, if not all states) has mechanisms in place to find frauds and not only get they out of the system, but make them repay what they took. But if someone is determined enough, I'm sure that there are ways around those safeguards.

So, the problem is not that the government allows itself to be defrauded, but that there are people willing to defraud the system. Put the blame where it really belongs.

Maybe. But again, why is that?
because the planet is grossly over populated by the human infestation...

we're riding at about 500% of what the planet can conveniently support. that's why.

Why is reading for comprehension such a foreign skill for all conservatives?
A "natural born citizen" is anyone who has citizenship as a birthright. In other words, ANYONE who is born of American parents, REGARDLESS of where they are born, is just as much a natural born citizen as someone who was born on U.S. soil.
actually it only takes one u.s. citizen being a parent. all 4 of my children are 'natural born citizens'. two were born in the u.s. with two citizen parents and two were born in brazil with an american father and a brazilian mother who is of okinawan descent.

all 4 of them have the exact same birth certificate and the exact same rights as u.s. citizens.

Yeah, but there was a case of one woman getting 103 free cell phones. That's just blatant and needs to be punished. But I understand what you mean.
Yes, they aren't efficient enough at finding them or seeking them out. How do they find people getting paid in cash, or selling drugs, or any number of other illegal activities?
Oh, I blame the people willing to defraud the system. I also blame the government for not doing enough to stop it when they know it's going on. Not to open another can of worms, but the tax loophole utilized by illegal immigrants is a perfect example. Whistleblowers from the IRS have disclosed that the IRS knows all about the situation but tells them not to question the obviously bogus paperwork, birth certificates, and applications. Promotions and raises are withheld if they do question or delay the process in any way.

With current technology, yes. If we could switch the whole planet over to seriously "green" technologies, the planet could support even more people than it currently does. Of course, if the population gets a lot higher, I'm not too sure about the "quality of life" issues, even WITH a universal commitment to being "green".

maybe the birth rates are down because people are beginning to realise that breeding is just about the most stupid thing that any human can do in this day and age.
Birth rates are down for people are not like rats who drop litters every six weeks or so.

In olden times, they had loads of kids since most did not make it to age 3, but now days, dropping a kid every 10 months until menopause is NOT good form. Who can pay for 8 or 9 kids till age 18 or older anymore, besides some certain millionaire prez candidate I can think of off hand.

Uh, in Germany that was the repressive government and majority of folks in charge of Jewish hatred, not a despised minority being singled out the way the Chick-felate folks were pointing out gay people for derision. Your colorful example is a bit off kilter.

True. And America seems to want to be right there with them.
It amazes me that America continues to import products from China after the lead based paint on children's toys, toxic drywall, toxic insulation, toxic foods for human consumption, toxic carbohydrate sources used in pet foods, toxic chicken jerky treats for dogs, inferior products from A-Z, and the loss of US jobs.

and which country led the charge with toxins in your food... what about pesticides, additives, artificial colouring, growth hormones, high amts of chemicals such as formaldehyde in wall paneling and carpets, toxic resins and plastics, wood pressure treated with copper cyanide, air, water and soil pollution, freon based air conditioning... the list goes on and on...

here's a clue. it wasn't china. not only that, but all those jobs which you're whining about moving to china were sent there because nobody wanted them on u.s. soil any longer.
