It is interesting that the article says that other religious institutions do not agree that homosexual marriage is what God had in mind or what the scriptures teach...

This is a typical liberal ploy. They make what God intends and what the Bible says two different things. The fact is that the Bible is THE ONLY WAY we have to know what God wants.

The author of the article did not give one iota of evidence that God wants gay marriage or one iota of evidence that the Scriptures teach the acceptability of gay marriage.

If liberal churches want gay marriage, that is there business. But don't lie and say God wants it or the scriptures promote it. If you can produce any specific, clear Bible passage which speaks favorably of gay marriage, it would be convincing. But you can quote what doesn't exist.

Several states and the District Of Columbia allow LGBT people to be CIVILLY WED.

A civil marriage has NOTHING to do with a religious marriage or the bible.

So since these civil marraiges have NOTHING to do with religion, why ae you so worried about it ? How do these civil marriages affect YOU ?
