I believe this will fail a legal challenge because that would be like me saying I won't allow a heterosexual couple to adopt based on my moral and religious beliefs..........another anti-gay bigot bill and nothing more.......an agency CAN NOT take State and Federal Money from Taxpayers and then be able to discriminate against some of those taxpayers for no other reason then because of who they are or who they love!!!

If theya re going to cite "morality", could they refuse to put a child born to Jewish parents into a christian household ?

What about putting a child born to Christian parents in a Hindu household ?

The "morality" loophole will allow anyone to deny any person for any reason.

Supposing the would-be parents own a liquor distributorship, or one of them works in a restaurant where liquor is served ?

There's no end to this.

I can see it now:

"Sorry, Bill and Jane, but our parish records indicate you haven't been donating enough to the church for us to consider you good Catholics. Since we're a Catholic adoption agency, it's our moral duty to reject your application to adopt."

The reason I hope a lawsuit bankrupts them or hits them where they live is that the antigay *K-N-O-W* this. They're painfully, painfully aware of what they've done and they're doing it to continue to taunt the authorities and *insist all the goddamn time like rapists* that their lives are somehow compromised by treating others fairly. I hope they're metaphorically "slaughtered" with a lawsuit on this. What's angering me by now is that they *know* better and continue to behave in this way -- not just in isolated pockets, but in a WIDESPREAD way.

This is the "moral imperative of conviction" I keep talking about and keep insisting the pro-gay need, and don't quite have. And I will continue to say that. The pro-gay would *NEVER* pull a stunt like this; that's why I think they lose a number of these battles. They should. They should have started several years ago and should have an industry in full swing which is battling the antigay one-for-one and two-for-one on every last thing the antigay keep attempting to do,*swamping* them with lawsuits and legislation that would drive them batshit. And not to "retaliate" but based on that same feral, vicious conviction that drives the antigay like Charles Manson or someone of that ilk.
