Imagine the good that a church could do in the world obce thay get over their homophobia!

They could then give their attention to important things like provding food and shelter for the needy.

How many children would benefit from an example of a true Christian love for humanity, without bias and discrmination?

I couldn't agree with you more....helping others is really the true mission of any church.

All these years, I thought it was about worship.

Christ's original church insisted people turn away from their outwardly sin and repent before occupying the House of the Lord. Paul's letters are crystal clear.

So can they only preach part of the Word?

Worship is important but if you remember when Jesus said to the righteous....when I was hungry you did not give me to eat, naked you did not clothe, sick or imprisoned you didn't visit me. They all cried Lord when were you...had we known....He said, when you did it for the least of my brothers. Church isn't to be about perpetuating itself as much as it is helping others in His service. Jesus came not to be served but to serve that should be an indication right there.

Don't get me wrong...worship...prayer...pra ise...is so wonderful and essential. But as it says it's all a clanging gong without love....and true love is self-sacrifice and service.

So do you just leave out the parts of the bible at your church that you disagree with?

I'm not being hateful, I'm just asking;

How does a gay church, completely going against 1st Timothy, Corinthians, teachings on fornication, marriage having a head and a servant...Does your church address the fact that God said homosexuality was wrong? Do you teach the power of submission, or are you just keeping it light and happy speaking of the beatitudes, the 23rd Psalm, and the metaphorical teachings of the Kingdom of God being available to even those that bastardize the Word of God?

"sodomy", meaning acts (stigmatized as "unnatural vice") such as homosexuality, anal sex, and the word "sodomite", meaning one who practices such acts. For the unnatural sins of their inhabitants Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboim were destroyed by "brimstone and fire from the Lord out of heaven" (Genesis 13:13; 18:20; 19:24, 29; Hosea 11:8). Since then, their names are synonymous with impenitent sin, and their fall with a proverbial manifestation of God's just wrath (Deuteronomy 29:23; 32:32; Isaiah 1:10 sqq.; Ezekiel 16:49; Matthew 11:23 sq.; 2 Peter 2:6; Jude 7). The Septuagint's Greek rendering katestrephe (Genesis 19:25) probably led to the opinion that the destruction of Sodom was accompanied by great upheavals of the earth, and even to the formation of the Dead Sea.

The pentapolis probably had a population of between 3 and 4 million people; out of which, only three were believers: Lot and his two daughters. Romans 9:29, Revelation 11:8, Matthew 10:15, II Peter 2:6, and Genesis 19 utilize Sodom and Gomorrah as illustrations of judgment on unbelieving apostates. An it could happond in our life time.

Well Simple Minded Simon, YOU are leaving out the part about your God is the judge, NOT YOU!

You hypocritcal christians dropped 'slavery' out of the Bible.

You hypocritcal christians eat shrimp.

You hypocritcal christians insist on Merry Christmas from retailers, when retailers have nothing to do with the true meaning of your Christmas.

How many christians work on Sunday?(Imagine all those Christians at WalMart who will be going to hell!)

And the list goes on and on and on.

You all ought to be ashamed of yourselves.

Brainwashing is a dangerous thing (of which you are all victims of).

Have a wonderful Sunday day of worship!

How about you christians stop judging us in order to bring more humanity and peaceful co existence into a world or believers and non-belivers?

And let God do the judging of the non believers.

Maybe that is what the UCC has in mind.

You are confusing Jesus earthly vs. spiritual law. His acting on our behalf changed many of the old Jewish laws of obedience and health, including delicious bacon. Paul had let us know certain traditions such as circumcision have nothing to do with entering Heaven, but rather with obedience. Same with working on the Sabbath, which as Christ said, was made for man. No one dropped slavery out of my bible.

As far as Christmas, yes, that has been harshly bastardized into a materialistic feeding frenzy. Many Christians are repelled by what it has become. It's the non-Christians celebrating it that always has me raising an eyebrow.

I figure 333 prophecies fulfilled with one life is enough for me to have it proven. If I'm wrong, I wasted a little time. If you're wrong, that's a pretty big OOOOPS!

I don't have enough faith to argue against the Word of God.

As far as judging, we are commanded to be fruit inspectors of a corrupt tree. Those who judge will be judged by the same strictness. Ok? so? We're going to be judged anyway, that doesn't mean that we should embrace sin and call it right. I feel the same about violence and porn.

Exodus 23:12: " "Six days do your work, but on the seventh day do not work, so that your ox and your donkey may rest and the slave born in your household, and the alien as well, may be refreshed."

Maybe you should study and ask self? How do i know I am speaking to a Christian in my everyday talk?
Seems the Lord may be putting pressure to change your wicked ways.
Humm you are troubled I see by your spiritual thoughts as you write such sad thoughts. You are loosing your grip. Pr the Devil is rather.
I see you will change and your knee will bow! You are easy to see and feel. You can simply accept a free gift and be saved which I am able to feel you are moved by the spirit to do.
God bless you and Good luck on your journey!
I am not brain washed nor do I intend to try. You must fight your own battle, Accept a Free Gift or suffer what ever you desire for your self in life.
You have a free choice. Its your own choice!

Gay Church. That's as much of an oxymoron as rap music and jumbo shrimp.

'Hello pastor Bruce, this is Bob...I desperately need your guidence...I'm so ashamed...I found myself attracted to a woman today...you gotta help me!'

Next they'll have Transvestite Church.(Imagine the Carmen Miranda Easter bonnets.)
