I suppose he never gave a thought to the possibility that the everyday lives of Americans are too far removed from the church and the Bible.

Is the church a light to the world, or is a world a light to the church?

The early Christians in the Roman Empire refused to kiss up to the world and were martyred for it. The result? The church grew faster than any other post-Pentecost time, took over the Roman Empire and Christianized it.

Malcolm Boyd's approach will only further weaken the church and cause society to overtake the church and destroy it beyond biblical recognition.

He probably just felt slighted that Gene Robinson got all the attention and beat him to the documentary thing-twice.

Why can't they be a light to one another ? God put more than one star in the sky.
