The Catholic religion has now been purified by Ink.

Let that be a lesson to all of you who question what Ink believes.

All the bloodshed of history was the fault of others ... definitely not the Catholics.

Of course I can't explain it even to my own satisfaction. I can guess, but a guess can always be wrong.
The people that have experienced it have given there accounts. It would be up to the mockers to discredit them.

Of course you want to believe that, as it would purify your religion in your own mind. It would put the blame for the Inquisitions and witch hunts on Atheists and you would sleep well tonight, as you slept today ... with no irritating thoughts to bother you.
I wasn't talking about atheists. I was talking about people who said incendiary things about innocent folks just to get a rise and possibly start a movement to take revenge for their perceived crime.

In Greek the word entity equated to psyche ... but when the word psyche was translated to English the term became "soul" ... and with the new interpretation came new meaning.

Sam Parnia claims that if certain people are asked if they believe in the psyche they will answer that they do ... but if asked if they believe in the soul, some will say "yes" and some will say "no."

In the minds of believers words are forever changing meanings.

Well ... you did blame my kind of people ... didn't YOU???

That means the Catholics were innocent and my kind of people were guilty.

Why do call people mockers when they question such experiences?

People have a right to ask question.

Yeah RIGHT!!!

It sure wasn't Catholics making things up about other Catholics of the same beliefs.

According to Sam Parnia, Aristotle believed that the psyche or the soul was a product of the body, and when the body died the psyche (the soul) died.

People like you who put out remarks that could spur anger and resentment towards anybody targeted. When I SAY PEOPLE LIKE YOU, I MEAN PEOPLE WHO WOULD DO THAT TYPE OF THING FOR WHATEVER REASON SUITED THEM. Whether it was against Christians like you do or gays or witches, it is equally despicable. My point was that with that post, you are no better than the ones you complain about. Have a good night.

Plato believed that the psyche or the soul was eternal.

So you see, the Greek philosophers "theologians" didn't agree, and of course they didn't agre,e because just as occurs today with theologian (philosophers)... they were simply guessing.

In other words trouble-makers who just wanted the blameless Catholics to be blamed for what they didn't do ... RIGHT???

If push came to shove, I might kill, but it won't be for any damned religion!

Do you honestly want me to believe that you wish me a good night after such a stinging lecture about my faulty morals???

Time and again those in religion on this thread have referred to Atheists as evil, and not once did Ink have a problem with that issue. But don't bring up the history of Catholicism or you will be accused by Ink as wanting to start trouble.

Sam Parnia claims that the people he studied that attempted suicide had negative near-death experiences.

My guess is, they were in that frame of mind before they tried to commit suicide, so it would not be a surprise that they took that mindset and indepth feeling with them into their near-death experiences.

Sam Parnia is an intensive-care physician, so he works with a lot of dying people.

Atheists are doomed to Hell. Sad lot they are.

They are under the mistaken conclusion that they are just going to sleep and become worm food.

Wow! What a choice. Worm food or eternal damnation. They both are similar...only one last longer.

Not at all. I think she's a lovely lady. I just wouldn't count on her to come out of her state of positive thinking to care about the negativity that goes on all around her on a daily basis.

I personally know people who like the fun-times and the jokes and laughter, and if I mention anything at all negative, such as homosexuals being persecuted by those in religion, they are off to the casino, or other places where they don't have to think about the "nasty" stuff.

Betty White is very fond of keeping up appearances, and who can blame her? She's worked hard to get where she's at.

I could have joined the Christian religion and had a very positive attitude that I was going to be saved. I could have smiled my smug superior smile all the way to the church and back.

But there was always that negative aspect to the religion about others burning in hell that prevented me from joining the flock.

What is positive to some is negative to others.

In fact, Betty White is not Jewish. She was born in Oak Park, Illinois, to two Christian parents. White is said to be a practicing member of the Unity Church which is a Christian based faith.
