Luckily for us as Pagans, it’s Christianity that tends to get made fun of the most, and those are the types of pictures that come up in my Facebook feed. Some of them are certainly funny, but many of them can be downright mean. When I see some of that stuff I do chuckle, but that laugh tends to end with me remembering that I believe Pan runs through the woods chasing nymphs and having sex with sheep.

That is the question.

It seems that to some people any old or new religion is better than no religion at all.

Certainly NOT you!

You fired your nasty Catholic god and now worship a Divine goddess and a Divine god!

I believe Pan runs through the woods chasing nymphs and having sex with sheep.

While my religious convictions are near and dear to me, they can be made fun of just as easily as those of a Christian. We’re just not enough of the national conversation to be a target yet.

I see you ignored the first part of that paragraph, about the intolerance of some Atheists. No surprise there, this person described you to a T.

"I think most atheists are pretty tolerant people; they don’t go out of their way to mock the faith of others, or intentionally try to stir the proverbial pot. Sadly, there are exceptions, and there are people and groups out there who like to make fun of religion."

If my High Priestess can Draw Down the Goddess, than I also have to believe that Yahweh has the power to make his followers speak in tongues.

You're deflecting. Is there some reason you can't answer the question?

"You fired your nasty Catholic god"

No.

"and now worship a Divine goddess and a Divine god!"

All Gods are Divine. That is their nature.

"Silly woman!"

Yes you are a silly woman. In addition to being silly, you are also bigotted and dishonest.

Take away my Pan and Aphrodite and I’m like a boat without a rudder or a captain, lost and adrift, they are the most important thing in my life.

Bitner’s words

If your god wanted everyone to be saved, they would be. It's that simple. No self-respecting Deity would even have to create such a place as hell. It makes no logical or spiritual sense.

Bitner pretends that all gods are divine.

I guess that's why the Christian god allows hell in his domain!

Silly double-talking woman!

A more fitting phrase would have been "Miriam's tradition sees sexuality as sacred."
>>>>>>> >>>>>>> >>>>>>> >>>>>>> >>>>>>> >>>>>>> >>>>>>> >

Goddess Tradition Sees Sexuality as Sacred
Sexuality allows us to share and connect with one another, and therein lies its holiness.

Nope, that's just opinion, not proof.

What's funny, is that you want to claim you don't know what the "mysteries" are, and then turn around and claim that what others say is "fantasy". That IS you claiming to know what they are, albeit in the negative.

You're a fraud, June.

I'm not pretending anything. Gods by definition, are Divine. That is their nature.

Again, my post has nothing to do with that.

You are the one engaged in double-talk, claiming you don't know "they mysteries", then claiming you do, but saying other's beliefs are "fantasy". THAT is double-talk.

You're a fraud, June.

It's a big change today after yesterday's combustible atmosphere and you're feeling more relaxed and understanding. You're even prepared to forgive someone for what you thought yesterday was a heinous crime, and ready to give them a second chance. However, let's hope that this person deserves your goodwill and is grateful to receive it.
