If Bitner hadn't joined Wicca, how could she believe she was a step above her previous Catholic indoctrination?

Joining Wicca is what made Bitner believe she IS wise, in contrast to the dumb Catholics that stayed put and dumb ... unlike Bitner!

What would Bitner BE without her Wiccan religion, or any religion?

Of what could she brag about KNOWING?

That is the question.

My comment to Bitner

You would even change the meaning of the Wiccan Rede in order to make yourself appear RIGHT.

You are something else.

These Eight words the Rede fulfill:

Your question is pointless.

We had plenty of mirth.....our Maiden couldn't get the fire lit, Grey Fox kept losing her ears, the Holly King had indigestion, and the Sun fell when the Goddess was trying to raise it :-D. Still, the play was great, and the ritual went a bit better, though it was cold. We sat vigil all night, watched the eclipse, went to the beach to watch the sunrise, and came back home for a feast. There was plenty love and light and laughter.

Ours was a little more pedestrian.. Apple and apple (green apple vodka with apple cider) for the wife and I. Apple cider for son.. Had to drag dog out of tree.. It is where his bed generally is.. Much put upon.. LOL

Read "A Christmas Carol". Each of us taking turns both reading and acting out different parts... Plenty of mirth and Honoring the Goddess and God.

And you found one in Wicca!

Only someone as twisted as you are could see that as anything OTHER than a friendly conversation between two Wiccans about their holiday celebrations.

From studying religion, my perception is, there never was a new religion that didn't appeal as being better than the previous religion.

Had Wicca come to the fore two centuries earlier, it never would have survived by welcoming homosexuals and women who had abortions as being worthy of the love of the gods.

Back then ... that was simply not acceptable.

Now that those two issues are becoming acceptable in society, Wicca, and other modern Pagan religions used and use that acceptablility to enhance the numbers in their religions ... with the lure "Come join us. We are open-minded and our gods love you ... love you ... love you."

What a pile of steaming doggy poop!

If the Wiccan Rede teaches to harm none ... it goes without saying that killing is causing harm.

Wouldn't you agree Jumper???

I understand that you are trying to show that all religion is benificial to society ...(even though your Christian dogma is at odds with Wicca)... but I suggest you don't be "quite" so silly.
