Aisle opens to gay unions

TASMANIAN gay rights activists have seized on a New South Wales multi-party parliamentary committee report stating same-sex marriage laws can be legislated at a state level.
If opposite-sex 'unions' are currently legislated at a state level; then this would be a significant step forward for gay couples
So we ask 'How many opposite-sex 'unions' have ever been held anywhere in Tasmania?'
