I don't think the Republicans would nomintate Bachmann or Palin, even if they wanted to court women voters. I'd guess it would be more like another Romney - someone who is a chameleon, shifting between ultra-right and more centrist rhetoric. But I agree with you on Hilary - I think her career is pretty much done. Rice would be outed if she tried to run - everyone knows she is a closet dyke.

Texas may have a lower unemployment rate, but most of the jobs created since 2000 have been minimum wage positions. Unless you are in the Oil or Finance, you are not going to make anything like you would in the Northeast.

Texas is so competitive job wise most places can't afford to pay their employees minimum wage. Gas station attendants can start at almost $13 an hour.
