If you want to really feel the hate, tell people you are a George Bush supporter.

Normally, I am a very reserved person in public. Homophobes like you, however, motivate me to be as "out, loud, and proud" in public as I possibly can be. Quite frankly, the GLBT community doesn't care what you "think" about us, and we are certainly not going to return to the closet to make bigots like you happy. So, feel free to continue seething with hate...the rest of us are going to be enjoying our lives.

Queers suck. Get it? Back in the closet please. You make all of us, the MAJORITY sick to death with your scatological debauched lifestyle.

This nation was founded upon rights to "life, liberty & the pursuit of happiness". It was explicitly NOT a theocracy. The churches that disapprove of gays have no more governmental authority than churches that support acting upon sexual preference - and the government has no business in our bedrooms.

Extending marriage to all consenting adults strengthens marriage, by increasing the proportion of our citizens who commit to marriage. Homophobic people seem to think that if gays marry, that it will be so wonderful for them that even staights will want gay marriages. Somehow, I doubt it will make straights become gay. But it is unjust to deny gays the 1138 rights provided by marriage (and that's just by federal law, not counting the state-granted marriage rights.)

After the multiple vicious murders of gays -merely for choosing who to love- the need for hate crimes protection is obvious. Everyone in our society should try this thought experiment: would you feel safe going to high school, or going out to straight bars, if everyone who saw you knew you were gay? If you wouldn't feel safe, then gays need protection.

I call bull$hit! You flash it everytime you put your arm around, hold hands, hug, kiss or show any form of affection toward your significant other in public. See? Straight people "flash" it too!

I have found on every single topic that has anything to do with gays that homophobes and bible thumpers are obsessed with gay/lesbian sex! They bring it up every [email protected] time!(Maybe they are curious and are peeping in our windows, lol!) Honey, pull out the toys, we're puttin on a show tonight!!!

So what you're saying, if I'm understanding right, is you don't like queer people?

Awesome post. It's so painful yet also eye-opening to see how much extreme hatred that some people have, saying things here they would rarely say in person. It definitely motivates me to be more loud when I can.

Hi Dan.

Were you aware that you are effectively representing yourself as a Nazi under that name?
Just curious.

Also, how did you somehow gain all this in depth knowledge? Have you been renting more gay porn again?

And why are you so preoccupied with sex? What about all those men who con their wives and girlfriends in to a little anal or the men who have their wives or girlfriends use a dildo on them?(you do realize that there are more hets who do that in the US than there are GLBT to do it, don't you?)

And, now, see, you screwed up again. TS folks and TG folks aren't sexual freaks at all. You really should do some homework before you spout off like that.

Its not so uch that you spout off, mind you, but that you haven't the foggiest clue about the subject. It makes you look, well, pretty pathetic.

Wow! I have read all of these comments, but yours has really caught my eye. I think your ignorance should be kept where it belongs. You really should educate yourself before opening your mouth about any issues going on in the world.. I am a lesbian and I feel we do parade ourselves, we feel we have to put it out there because of how the world has treated us. We want to be accepted. Yes sometimes we are loud about it and we will continue to be until it is accepted, respected and we are treated as equals. Gays get more grief from the world then a man who has raped a little girl. We get more grief then a man who has murdered a family. It is pure ignorance we have to deal with and I will stand with my gay people until we are treated with respect. I don't want to hear the comments every time i walk down the street holding my girl friends hand. People don't understand. Peace can only become a reality if people start respecting, excepting and stop hating and judging. Yep!

Keep it where it belongs!!

I wish you folks and your "nation" would eschew the hysteria and victimhood which you have adopted and stick to the issues by responding to the the thoughtful posts in this thread. We are not all "homophobes" and "bigots" but merely people who ask a simple question: "In this representative democracy, do the people have the right by majority consent to enact laws not explicitly prohibited by the Constitution without interference of an activist judiciary. When put to a vote, your position on "gay" marriage for instance, has lost every time. Are all the peolple who voted against it bigots?...Time to rethink what you are saying and how you are saying it perhaps?

The answer to your next to the last question is.....YES. Any one who votes to keep any group of people having the same civil rights as everyone else is a bigot. Period. Deal with it...you are a bigot.

No. The Judiciary is expressly capable of doing so, for one, and are bound to support the protection of the rights of minorities against the tyranny of the majority at all times.

Perhaps homosexuality can be protected under the Americans with Disabilities Act.
