Mr. Kramer- I am afraid that hate cuts both ways. Who was it that:
-invaded St. Patrick's Cathedral disrupting mass and descecrating communion hosts.
- threaten almost evry year to violently disrupt the St. Patrick's day parade
- have perverted public holidays and events like the Holloween Parade in NYC and Mardi Gras so that families and children can no longer partake in them.
- Use every opportunity to denigrate all religions and religious people but especially the Catholic Church because it rationally and naturally opposes all immoral behavior and not just your activity of choice.
No Mr.Kramer, I don't hate you but I do dislike and oppose much for which you stand and will continue to say so.

re: Larry Kramer.
Boo Hoo..its our prerogative who we like or dislike! When grown men dress up in boas and lipstick and parade down Fifth Ave. kissing each other, must we except that? coming out of the closet was a detriment to the country. We are the ones to complain! Get on with your lives, and preferably behind closed doors.

Effie (above) What a miserable life you must have. No tollerance, no thinking out of the box. Why hate or dilike others for being different from what you arbitrarily say is normal? Can you say biggot and prejudice?

This article really speaks the truth that about the issue of homosexuality in society. It really is sad how the civil rights movement for ALL people is continuously being shortsighted by politicans, our government, ur leaders and even us. As a gay person, I know that wherever I am I will always be the minority and the minority with no power, no voice. However I am far from alone. There are many of us all over the state, all over the country and the world. We have to be able to stand up as one, and declare that we will no longer be tolerated as less than or un-equal. We are to be accepted as people, with the same rights as anyone else. Regardless of ones religious and/or social views, everyone has the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. I know I will.

I have no problem with the gay community. I actually like it when a good looking gay guy looks in my direction. I take it as a compliment.

If I was a smoker or alcoholic I would be told to stop my risky behavior by anyone and everyone. If I were to die as a result of either of these risky behaviors I doubt the world would have any sympathy for me and rightly so. So what's up with you guys. You don't want to die?? Keep it where it belongs!!

Hate is evil ? Those that dont support gays are evil ? Thats are idiotic as saying being gay is evil (as per the bible).

Seriously, HATE is natural. Hate is normal, hate is necessary.... so deal with it, live with it. I cant stand this bullsh!t propaganda "stop the hate". It is repression at its worst.

Have a great day !

Do you ever hold your girlfriend/wife's or boyfriend/husband's hand in public? Ever shared a kiss? How about a picture of them on your desk at work? Or even mentioned their name to someone?

If you answered yes to even one of these questions....then you are flashing your heterosexual behavior.

Why is it alright for you but not for them?

So true so true. Mr.Kramer you want respect, you need to learn to respect others rights first. When I have a child with me I don't need two guys swapping spit out on the street. I could care less if you are gay, keep it indoors.

I can't speak for Muslims, but it is a mandate of Jesus Christ himself, that we love our neighbor. Anyone, claiming otherwise is a big fat lier with his gay pants on fire. LOL

My best friend in life was gay and he was in my wedding party. The part I HATED him for is that he would cry everytime that he did not get his way in the world and that it was caused by him being gay.

Unfortuantely my friend is dead now for unknown reasons. I miss him.

ACT UP you need to grow up. You are working against the gay cause.

By the way, I hate when heters express to much affection in public. To me it is a sign of insecurity of themselves and their relationship.

No, toots, you don't have to "except" that, but you must "accept" it!(Jeez, why are most homophobes almost illiterate?) How do kissing men in lipstick and boas harm you in any way? Try getting on with your own life and worry less about how others are living theirs. The GLBT community is NOT going to return to being invisible to please homophobes like you!

I disagree strongly with the OPINION “Hate for gays is endemic – and evil”. The very headline should have said if you disagree with me its hate. The inconvenient truth the author is trying to vilify moral outrage over this lifestyle. The author conveniently confuses the moral indignation with hatred against the homosexual agenda. Any resistance against how they use the courts and the fringe left to push their immoral choice on the rest of us is overlooked. The author does not see his own hypocrisy and his moral phobic attitude towards those who disagree with the homosexual agenda.
The authors lament “why are gays hated so..“ is just a straw man in the making and nothing is further from the truth. The author creates this phantom hate and indignantly demands that all moral indignation, all cultural standards should be swept away under guise of the new religion of acceptance. The author knows the problem is not the person it’s the behavior, to pretend otherwise is just the sham. Most people don’t want condoms thrown around in church, have our children indoctrinated about two mommies, or the demonizing of the boy scouts, the redefinition of marriage. The perfect example is General Pace stating homosexuality is a immoral behavior and he is immediately a bigot in the authors view. The author wants our country to follow his agenda and not God, man, or morality will get in the way.
Complaints about the lack of hate crime laws is a corrupt grasp to use the law to gain illegitimate legal ethnic classification. Once this immoral lifestyle is grated legal status it will use the full weight of the law to silence any view critical of this behavior. This is just the beginning and all it takes is to give them this legal club (hate crimes) to savage the American culture in the name of perverted civil rights. The author has used this entire article to create a fake hatred justify an acceptance of an immoral lifestyle. Your demand for universal acceptance and legitimacy is immoral and does not belong in the fabric of our Judeo- Christian culture.
