I don't think now is a good time for hateful comments, but I can also see why people aren't gpoing to treat him with kid gloves. He's said a lot of hateful things over the years.

I agree. I certainly am not going to say anything hateful here about this. I will pray for him and his family and Matthew.

BUT PERHAPS, after some time has passed, he MIGHT come to realize the pain he has caused LGBT people, and change his ways. I'm not expecting it, but it could happen.

I'm sorry he's lost his son. But I have to agree with the majority of the opinion here - maybe now he'll realize that words CAN hurt and the reason people are so unsympathetic to him now is because he's been so unsympathetic towards others.

You piece of Sh!t queers are no better than the people you constantly condemn. Hope next time a crisis hits your neck of the woods, you'll remember the way you acted in the reverse situation.

Except glbt people aren't keeping equal rights away from Warren or from other evilgelicals as they are doing to glbt people.

And here's nothing wrong with condemning kkk types, anyway, which homophobes are.

Homosexuals (a) enjoy playing in pigpens, and (b) cherish their own suicidal thoughts.

I'm better than you per the Supreme Court.

Do not blame Rick Wrren. Go read the word of GOD.
Man and Woman were ordain by GOD to be married. Not Man and Man or Woman and Woman.

If you are not please about the word of GOD, talk to GOD about it.He will answer you.

So now it's all about Rick Warren, and his pain. We all suffer the loss of loved ones, and he is no different. The problem is, when suicide is involved, we must contemplate what hand we each had in it. We must come to terms with why the person committed suicide, and what, if anything, we may have been able to do to prevent it. Did we see it coming? Could we have been able to step in and change something we might have done to contribute to it? Only our own self-reflection can tell us. I hope he has he courage to look within himself to see if he bears any responsibility, and, if so, makes the necessary changes.

While I would never support making someone's grief after a suicide worse, he should think long and hard about WHY people are so antagonistic toward him and taking this opportunity to attack him. When you cultivate hate and misery, eventually you end up harvesting some of it yourself.
