ANOTHER reason I have not, and never will touch anything made by APPLE. And no self-respecting member of the LGBT community should either.

BOYCOTT APPLE !

The are evil. PURE EVIL.(ok, Bill Gates is actually PURE EVIL, bit APPLE is still EVIL).

Apple routinely rejects explicit sex-themed items from the app store. I don't think they are singling out gay sex at all.

This is not homophobia. As Gay and Proud points out, this is a reasonable business-based bias against allowing apps that include explicit sex. This has always been known. I can't believe someone believes this is worthy of a story. It shows how some members of our community are way too eager to find antigay actions where none exist.

Apple is one of the most gay supportive companies in the world. And, as usual, Foxy has no idea what s/he is talking about in his/her hateful diatribe. I am a self-respecting member of the GLBT community and my entire technical life revolves around Apple products. Also my financial life, since I was clever enough to buy several thousand shares of Apple stock in the 80s when they were at $4 and $6. So, suck it, Foxy!

The reason their stock soared is because they sell overpriced products, made in sweatshop conditions, by Asian workers, who are lucky if they make 4 cents a day, and are forced to sleep in dormotories, packed together like sardines.

And APPLE is more of a cult, than it is a corporation.

Here's a GREAT idea to help solve the unemployment problem in the U.S.: The stockholders of APPLE, i.e the "OWNERS", and the customers (aka. "cultists"), and their fellow travellers, should DEMAND that because U.S. customers have been so faithful to APPLE, they should make ALL their products in the Good Ol U.S.A.

Who can be against that ?!

Oh yeah. I forgot. The Dems and Libs are, because they want APPLE to ship all our jobs overseas in exchange for billions of dollars in campaign contributions.

What you are describing is endemic in the production of the vast majority of products today whether clothing, electronics (Microsoft stuff too), even things like pet treats.

It's a real problem that needs to be addressed but to single out Apple for your hatred on this matter says far more about you and your biases than it does about the actual problem.

Turns out it wasn't Apple's doing, but the company that owns the app that pulled it.

Foxy: You need to take a serious purge. Perhaps with Liquid-Plumr. Maybe if you clear all the crap out of your system, you won't have any left to spew in these discussions.

It would be a nice break for the rest of us, especially those of us with functioning IQs.

Well, you have to start somewhere, don't you ? Where would you start if the Cult Of Apple is sacred and CANNOT be touched ?

And IF APPLE is so GREAT, then WHY has aPPLE only had a tiny percentage of the personal cumpeter market for longer than anyone can remember ? If they are SO GREAT, then why haven't they dominated teh market ? or at least had a much larger share ?

For teh record, I currently own 5 pc's, 2 running XP, 1 running Vista, 1 running Windows 7, and 1 running Linux.

I've never owned and APPLE product and never will.

If you were really concerned about this topic you'd apply your convictions equally to all offenders, right?

Foxy, every one of those includes components (or the whole thing) that were made in Asian factories just like the ones that Apple uses.

I'm not sure there is such a thing as a computer where every component was manufactured in the USA.

That wasn't my point. In fact YOU are making MY point ! The U.S. USED TO BE teh world keader in manufacturing just about everyting.

Now we barely manufacture ANYTHING in the U.S. There are a host of reasons why.

And since you have to start somewhere, I merely suggested that APPLE stockholders, i.e. the owners of the company, and their loyal customers, ask APPLE to build their products in the U.S.

Is THAT so unreasonable ?

We should have policies that ENCOURAGE manufacturing in teh U.S., especially when there are countries that pay, and treat their workers like slaves, and manipulate their currency to their benefit, and engage in other practices that result in an unlevel playing field that hurts teh U.S.

Since you refuse to buy Apple, why not start your crusade by going after the companies who you do buy from?

Otherwise you're just a lot of hot air.
