I think gays would be much less likely to trash a place that straights. If landlords were to use their brains, they might find it more profitable to treat gay applicants better, not worse.

This reminds me of a dark chapter in my life. My husband Paul and I had to pay $25.00 extra a month for the same one bedroom our upstairs unmarried hetero friends paid for theirs.

After we bought our house, Paul died of lung cancer. I went downhill. I later got involved with a guy and stayed in that abusive relationship for 5 years (my shrink says it was from the grief and regret I had over Paul dying).

Anyway one time after he beat me, I called the police. My fridge was on the floor, food strewn everywhere, blood on the walls and I've got a towel over my nose and lips to stop the bleeding.

There's 5 cops in the room and one guy asks "Did he hit you?". Before I went ballistic I saw the looks the other police gave him.

Two of them asked him to come outside with them.

It's changing.

I just feel sorry for those who haven't experienced the change yet.

Since I've moved to Florida I've met a few landlords who prefer gay tenants.

In fact, most of my life, my landlords have wanted me to stay because I wasn't like the rowdy heteros!

It was my experience as a landlord, that same sex couples who had been together for a few years were great to rent to, those just getting started, not so much. But they were light years ahead of heterosexuals just living together, those you really wouldn't want to rent to until they had been together for at least a decade. It is however illegal in many locations to discriminate on the basis of familial status in public accommodations, which is why I've been an advocate of thorough background checks of potential renters since even before the internet made them easy.

Of course not but that's not what the story is about. It's talking about gay couples.

Considering you such a chronic liar, can't believe a word you say. If the truth be known, Paul probably died of AIDS, which no doubt, you have now.
I'm glad you brought that up. So did his Mom, Aunt and Grandma.

We got tested after he was diagnosed with cancer. We were both negative. I continued being tested every 6 months after he died.

I became positive in June 1990, two years almost to the day I found out my husbands 3 pack a day cigarette habit was killing him.

You're not busting my bubbles. Considering you're such a liar, I'm betting on my version.

I'm sure the worst tenants would probably be two or more non-studious straight dudes in their 20's rooming together. Barring of course, having an old lady with 60 cats.

Sounds like you were into that rough boy stuff huh?
This is one of the most asinine comments I've ever seen posted here. Do you think it is going to make people upset? It just makes you look like an imbecile.
