Good for them! It's nice to see that some people still have good moral values.

What do you expect from Texas? Especially when you're not only a lesbian couple but an inter-racial lesbian couple.

while I think this is morally wrong, a newspaper, or other media, has an ABSOLUTE First Amendment RIGHT to not print ANYTHING they don't wish to.

dallas morning news quit running the wedding announcements a few years ago for all gay couples.

just because some of their subscribers whined about having to see the announcements.

wonder what they'll do once texas has to recognize same sex marriages.

LOL

Oh, yes, because what isn't printed in a local paper, doesn't exist. Heads in the sand can be so comforting to some.

And you'll support anyone's right to be immoral. Just like your daddy taught you (as long as they are a conservative republican of course)

Yes we know.

BTW How can Canadians exercise their 2nd Amendment right to carry a gun like you claimed on the Newfoundland gay bashing thread?

Loved seeing you on the Olbermann thread. It's fun watching a first class asshole call someone else one.

It was a real wedding. The Federal Govt said so. So did SCOTUS. What Texas says is just, well what Texas is known for.

I agree the paper is under no obligation to print anything they don't want to. But it's still discrimination if they run wedding announcements for others. It may be legal but that doesn't mean it's moral or ethical or unbiased.

This was that scruffy old newspaper's golden opportunity to live up to The Word and show some respect:

You mean like these:

Romans 13:1-5 ESV

Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment. For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad. Would you have no fear of the one who is in authority? Then do what is good, and you will receive his approval, for he is God's servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain. For he is the servant of God, an avenger who carries out God's wrath on the wrongdoer. Therefore one must be in subjection, not only to avoid God's wrath but also for the sake of conscience.

Titus 3:1 ESV

Remind them to be submissive to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good work,

Romans 12:17 ESV

Repay no one evil for evil, but give thought to do what is honorable in the sight of all.

Hebrews 13:1-25 ESV

Let brotherly love continue. Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unawares. Remember those who are in prison, as though in prison with them, and those who are mistreated, since you also are in the body. Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous. Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said,I will never leave you nor forsake you...

1 Peter 2:13-15 ESV Be subject for the Lord's sake to every human institution, whether it be to the emperor as supreme, or to governors as sent by him to punish those who do evil and to praise those who do good. For this is the will of God, that by doing good you should put to silence the ignorance of foolish people.

Or do you mean the Christians who want to claim their Christianity allows them to disobey the Bible and civil law when it comes to practicing religious discrimination?

Or is that too tough a question for you dumpling?

Any respectable newspaper refuses to print LIES, so that leaves anything that YOU say out, LITTLE cowardly liar.

"Good for them!" Good for whom? The lesbians? Lovely. Oh, you are in support of the lesbians? WELCOME to our side. Great to have you on board the gay supportive side, finally.

See what happens when you practice bad grammar and are unclear in your ignorant stupid opinions, moron? GRAMMAR counts, idiot.

Oh, DNF, why waste your time trying to communicate with a MORON? He is so unclear about whom to back that no one knows what he wants. Or is just really stupid in grammar. A combo of both, methinks.

Gay priest rapes boys? Gay bishops provide cover for gay priest? What else is new? Sadly it happens every day.

The key words are "gay - rape - boys".

Yeah? I guess NO heteros ever rape girls. Or, are you good with that, since it is, you know hetero?

Anyone with young girls, do NOT take them to 'binaries' town, or whatever fake name he is using today, since he APPROVES girls getting raped, since he never seems to worry about it.
