Nothing surprises me that comes from Topeka, Kansas, home of Westboro Baptist Church.

Truly, is Topeka on an Indian burial ground or contaminated water table or something? What a BUZZ kill this is. I am angry at the women for choosing to have a kid despite not being able to support him without public assistance. Highly irresponsible.

True. They showed the women here on tv last night they supposably broke up then went back together and they said their self he doesn't need to pay anything. But the state of KS says he does b/c they did NOT use a dr. to inseminate the women.

How ridiculous to claim that without going to an approved clinic, the sperm donor can't give up his parental rights. The state of Kansas is trying to punish certain types of families that they don't approve of.

It's unfortunate the woman wasn't sharp enough to just tell the state that she didn't know who the father was. Then it would have been up to the state to either recognize the other woman as a legal parent (and collect from HER) or continue refusing to recognize her and let the taxpayers foot the bill.

I've always said that, ultimately, it's going to be economic issues that will resolve marriage and adoption equality issues. The taxpayers have no idea how much money it costs them to support all the people that they wouldn't have to support if the government would simply recognize their family....

This is a great move by the state to prevent this horrible practice of human trafficking. This guy and scumbags like him should not be able to have kids and abandon them like he has. We need to hold all men accountable who traffic in humans like this and make them be responsible for the children they created.
