Gee, what a surprise. I mean, really, is anyone surprised? He's losing folks, every thing he says is politically motivated to garner an extra vote or two. He's conceded the votes of so many now he really has no choice but to pander to the far left fringe and the social reformers. The only funny thing is that democrats "Evolve" apparently only conservatives who change their minds "flip flop". LOL - just another non-issue from the man who can't run on his record so he has to find divisive matters to run on, sort of a it's US against THEM, and WE are all victims of THEM. Can we call it the pity vote?

That’s a lie. You do know gay marriage is legal in more than a few states right? Would you like to rethink your statement?

THANK YOU MR PRESIDENT!!!!!!
Of course this may cost him Virginia & North Carolina in November, but it's nice to have a President willing to stand on principle even at the risk of their political future.
Now if only we could find some Republicans with the same courage.
I wonder what the great Flip Flopping Romeny will have to say about it. Remember Romney, the guy who said he would "be to the left of Ted Kennedy" on gay rights, and is now to the right of Dick Cheney!
As I said, democrats "EVOLVE" republicans "FLIP-FLOP".[And you will note that the president did his version of voting PRESENT, he didn't call for legislation or anything, as a matter of fact he decided to go out for gay marriage and still not do anything about it, yep, sure is one brave hombre.] LOL - distracted from the economy enough now? Actually republicans DO have courage to not cave under the demand of one self-interest group. Republicans cite the very real fact that the definition of Marriage is a union between a man and a woman. Now, if you want to change that definition you need to get with Merriam-Webster. Civil unions bestow the exact same rights as a married couple have, gay's need to come up with another word to define their unions, marriage has already been take.[Although they had no problem hijacking the meaning of Gay.] I don't care what you call it, it just can't be "marriage". They are clever enough, they'll come up with a suitable word.

Well, since there are more people in the United States who favor same-sex marriage than who oppose it, it appears that he has indeed. So you have nothing to complain about.
It would be if that were true, NC just voted 60+% to around 30% to declare that marriage is between a man and a woman. I'll bet any poll you see is heavily weighted, as most of them are, toward the desired result. Even some of my gay friends are against using the word "Marriage" to define their unions. Nope, I'll bet in a true poll, equally weighted, it would be about the same around 60% against and around 40% for.

This proves what a Christian he really is''The Bible plainly speakes against sex between 2 men or 2 women and with animal's.
Not long ago i watched him on a talk show and he stated that he OBUMMER believed marriage should be between a Man & a Woman he believes anything just as long as he can play the sheepels and keep them worshiping him'
Do you people even know or have any idea of what this Man is caopable of he tell's one lie then props that lie up with another lie.
How can you believe both way's what a moron.
This Country has gone to the Dog's ''NO" i'll refraze that Dog's have more respect and common sense then the morons of this Country.
They (Dogs) can tell the difference between Male & Female and have the common sense to know that it's not normal to have sex with someone of your own sex.
Now all you claimed to be Christians need to jump up and say''Well its their right we dont want to discriminate'they have a right.
Well let me tell you something God has a bigger right when you stand before him and he say's Depart from me Ye workers of initictey i never knew you. This is for the Hypocritis and the people who ingage in uncleanest.(I Know wrong spelling).
But i forgot Obama wants to do away with everything that has God in it.

Americans were heavily opposed to black people marrying and interracial people marrying as well. That's what makes this country so great. It eventually overcomes bigotry and hate no matter what form it takes. It's funny that Christians forget that a long long long time ago, they were the minority.

And apparently, not even all gays think gay marriage is a good idea. "Last week, President Obama declared the Defense of Marriage Act unconstitutional and instructed the Department of Justice to stop enforcing it. It was a moment to exalt—the second such gay-rights milestone in only two months, coming on the heels of landmark legislation to repeal the military's "Don't Ask Don't Tell" policy. But lost in the euphoria was an awkward truth that gay people don't like to talk about: Gay marriage feels weird. In fact, many of us, myself included, don't feel very comfortable with it at all."

Good to see Mr. Obama come out and do the right thing, here. More and more Americans support equal rights for gay people, and now our President does, too.
Now, when will Mittens take the same position? Or will he cater to the bigots and homophobes on the right wing of his party, who he's trying desperately to court? Or will he flip and flop back and forth like a fish on the beach, as usual?
STAY TUNED!:)
What I expect "Mittens" (how gay is that?) won't do is cater to you heterophobes.

Gay marriage is an oxymoronic as it is by definition "sterile" and "devoid of the fruit of children."

It defies God's original command in the Book of Genesis to "be fruitful and multiply."

By endorsing this abomination, Obama is promoting that which will cause the future decline of Western European Civilization and the rise of Islam as Muslim women are having an average of 4.9 children whereas Western European woman are having an average of 1.9 which is not enough to replace the existing population.

Marriage is designed to procreate the species, and male on male intercourse does not result in procreation.
