How strange, I was at the Annenberg Theater at the Palm Springs Art Museum about 4 hours ago, they show classic movies on Thursday nights. The cafe is FULL of photos of the old Racquet Club in its heyday, like New Year's Eve and events like that, all around 1950-62 era. Ronald Reagan, Janet Leigh, Lucy and Desi, Maurice Chevalier, Salvadore Dali, anyone who was anyone in that time. I was just thinking how sad that the Racquet Club is a boarded up eyesore for as long as I can recall, now this maybe new revival. I hope they do it!

BTW, they showed 'The Apartment' with Jack Lemmon and Shirley McClain tonight. Next week is 'Young Frankenstein'.

"Amenities would include the revival of the Bamboo Room, the Greta Garbo Tennis Court, Kathryn Hepburn Gym and Java Joint."

Although I am a big fan of classic horror films ("Dracula", "Frankenstein" "The Wolfman", etc) and I think that "Young Frankenstein is hysterically funny, I only just recently saw for the very first time "Son Of Frankenstein" upon which "Young Frankenstein" is based. These are GREAT movies.:)

Regarding great actors, are you aware that Mickey Rooney was in THREE movies last year ? His MOVIE career has now stretched OVER 85 YEARS.

And Rose Marie is presently making a movie, and her MOVIE career has now stretched OVER 80 YEARS.

Are there ANY actors with longer movie careers than these 2 great actors ?!

I'm sorry, but people are dying of HIV related illnesses. The money is better spent elsewhere.

I just read about a guy who donated $ 50,000 to save some animals that were about to be put to death. They wee flown across the country and relocated to live out their lives.

Homeless dogs ? Nope.

Well, we have a goodly number of our own "chickens" that are living horribly on the streets of our Nation.

I think the money could have been spent more wisely.
