Heads are exploding all over this fundamentalists state over this...and it's a welcome sight, too.

Way to go...I hope the next decision from the Supreme Court is the one that says ALL states must recognize same-sex marriage.

That's exactly what the "Full Faith and Credit" clause of the U.S. Constitution says. Why wold the courts say any differently ?

And I don't believe that question will even be a question that SCOTUS will address, because they will let the federal appeals courts make those rulings, and when the nuts appeal those decisions, then SCOTUS will deny the appeal, thus letting the appeals courts' rulings stand as the law of the land.

Weekends at the Koch's, perhaps?

That might be the case IF we win in all of the Circuits. If any of them dissent the SCotUS will decide.

We need a win in each and all of the Circuits along similar legal doctrinal lines.

It's beginning to look just like that which you are describing. That way, it will take forever for each state to have same-sex marriage instead of making it all federal now.

Not necessarily.

There is a good chance that at least one federal appeals courts will disagree with us, meaning that at least 2 federal appeals courts will issue conflicting rulings, necessitating SCOTUS to make the decision as to which federal appeals court is right.

In fact, a decision against us in a federal appeals court is probably the best thing that can happen to us, because it would probably lead to the case getting to SCOTUS aster, than if all the federal appeals courts agree with us.

Also, judges on federal appeals courts are smart people. There may come a point that a judge on a federal appeals court agrees with us, but votes the opposite way, just to get the issue to SCOTUS.

Hopefully this all plays out and is settled by SCOTUS before most of us die from old age waiting......
