You be sure to tell the host/hostess that every time you walk into a restaurant, kitten.

I'm sure they'll be HAPPY to accomodate you...

If you are going to eat at a sit-down restaurant, you know damn well your server isn`t making even minimum wage. If they were, your hamburger and fries would be much more expensive. If you`re too cheap to tip, stay home.

They`re just scumbags. If I opened a restaurant, I`d ensure that the tip is mandatory and calculated as part of the bill; many eateries are changing to that.

<quoted text>I was a waiter for 4 years when I was much younger. I HATED working Sunday. They would roll in, some carrying their bibles to show us where they'd been. They were awful tippers, tiresome, and would loudly say prayers before eating. I thought, according to the BIBLE, that good people were supposed to pray in PRIVATE and not show off in public, but hey, different strokes.
My favorite? A lovely churchy couple who drank 20 refills of coffee, holding the cup up and pointing into it, then leaving me EXACT change and no tip, but a smeary religious tract on top of the exact change. Since we were charged by law to give 8% of the check amount to the state for taxes, that left ME paying 8% of THEIR meal, and nothing but the tract. I threw it right into the garbage.
If I were that waiter I would "accidentally" drop their food on the floor next time before serving them.

1) Praying loudly is, according to that jesus guy you people talk about so much.

2) The restaurant would`ve missed him more than they would a bunch of loud-months who don`t tip.

3) You don`t drop it where they can see it, dummy. They drop it, put it back on the plate, and the target gets to eat a nice selection of floor flotsam.

1. Praying is showing off? Wow!
2. I bet that restaurant and its patrons didn't miss you.
3. Then you'd have to serve them a fresh plate.

They just assume every server is jewish...

They want to bring back the inquisition.

Aren't church crowds who go to a restaurant on Sundays enabling the sinners by having them work on Sundays ?
And why don't these people show the same concern about other supposed sins that people are committing ?
Do they want to bring back Blue Laws ?

You`re talking about an industry-wide standard.

Do you only dine in places where the workers get a living wage? Bet not.

Doctors make a lot more than waitstaff.

Sorry, but I simply disagree with the whole idea of tipping.
Every employee should be expected to provide appropriate customer service regardless of their pay or position.
If an employee needs more money they should take that up with their employer.
And I don't dine out at places with a mandatory gratuity.
Would you think it acceptable for your doctor to demand a tip because he removed that tumor with a smile on his face & in a timely manner?

They all make minimum wage or more, and most set their own rates.

Are you going to keep beating this dead horse?

How about your doctor?
The checkout girl at the supermarket?
Your lawyer?
Your dentist?
The plumber?
The electrician?
The pharmacists?
Etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc.......
Why don't those people deserve tips?

Any diner who loudly spews his ignorant religion while I`m eating deserves to have their face deep-fried.

The big question is how did the couple know he or she was gay? Did the waiter come up and say Hi I am Maurice your gay waiter? Just because a male or female may act differently, doe's that always qualify them as gay???

So you're saying the waiter was not gay? Then the pretext for this forum is false. Where is your proof?

Yeah, the lying homo waiter probably wrote it himself out of spite for not being tipped for his inferior service in hope of creating a whole scandal and getting some money or sex opportunities...
Since in France gratuities are INCLUDED in the restaurant bill, how would that affect you, how would you even KNOW about optional tips, I guess you've never been to France.

BTW, little liar, if you want to prove you ARE really in Paris, answer me one little question. What can you buy on the Quai Saint Micheal? That should be easy for a Parisian to answer, prove that you are really there, or shut up forever.

If you'd gotten off your huge Cheetos filled ass and READ the article, you'd see he is actually doing well and folks are coming in and giving him big tips. The original filthy disgusting fake Christians did him a favor.

It is irrelevant if he is gay or not they acted on their perceptions. Straight people occasionally get gay-bashed because some neanderthals think their victim is gay.

Very true !

A few years ago, I rad in the NYDN about 2 tourists were walking in Greenwich Village in Manhattan. According to the newspaper, a car suddenly screeched to a stop, 3 guys jumped out shouting anti-gay slurs at the couple, and began beating them.

An ambulance took them to a hospital, and some alert citizens wrote down the license plate number of the car, and called the NYPD. The 3 perps (from Jersey) were arrested and charged with assault and battery. The couple assaulted turned out to be a str8 married couple, and because the woman had short hair, according to the newspaper account, the perps had mistaken her for a gay man.

Which reminds me of another story about a case of mistaken identity.

I have long blond hair and have had long blond hair for a long time.

In late December, 1998 I stopped at the Home Depot (where Homo Depot John DeSimone worked, but that's another story) on Route 112 in Patchogue a few blocks from my house. It was early evening, cold and rainy.

I purchased some things, and walked out of he store, in a bit of a crowd of people, busy because it was Christamstime, and as the crowd moved into the parking lot, a car driving in the parking lot suddenly turned and drove into the crowd of people.

Everyone began to scatter, but as I was in the middle of the crowd, I was among the last to try to get out of the way.

The driver struck me, and I wound up being hit by the grill, landing on the hood and windshield, and then striking the ground. Face down. On my stomach. In the rain. On my large keyring.

I could hear many people yelling and screaming: "Miss ! Miss ! Are you alright ?!"

LOL

An ambulance came and took me to the hospital.

(to be continued with the description of all the problems I later encountered with the Suffolk County Police Dept. because of said accident).

Uh, if that's your attitude to your server, I bet a lot of your food has been "dropped" on the floor, or worse. Of course, you don't have to worry about tipping at KFC or Hardee's or whatever cheap ass fast food places you dine, do you?
