It's easy. The more femme he is, the more likely the guy is to be a top! That is why most drag queens are tops.

"....people may tend to generalize their stereotypical perceptions of heterosexual gender roles to other forms of sexual relationships."

And the article says that they are ACCURATE. So, our understanding that the wussier the guy, the more likely he plays the female role is spot on.

Just because you're sitting on top of him doesn't make you the top.

"This is Chance, calling in from 1960..." Is it time for your "pink dresses" comments yet?

Many gay men now are UBER macho, but complete bottoms, or tops, does it really matter? Why is the bottom role thought of as a negative? It is strictly up to the players and NO one else's business at all.

It isn't a matter of who is top or bottom, really. It is who penetrates and who is penetrated. According to Wikipedia, "A top is a person who penetrates, a bottom is one who receives penetration."

I think the stereotype that the more feminine a guy is, the more likely it is he will bottom.

I'm small (5'7"), young, got a slightly femmy streak to me, and I get called a twink all the time. It's obvious I'm a bottom and every gay guy I've met instinctively seems to know it.

I'm actually bisexual - I think women are very attractive, but because I'm a total bottom, the idea of sex with women feels totally unnatural. I prefer being the one getting pounded, not the other way around.

I love big, masculine men but dislike the ones who are so insecure about being gay that they hate on women or femmey gay guys (sadly I've known a few).

^that should say: "I think the stereotype that the more feminine a guy is, the more likely it is he will bottom is usually true."

And yet there are self-identified straight men who have sex with men who seek out pre-op transgenders to have sex with for the express purpose of being fucked by chicks with dicks. There are transgender sex workers who will tell you they have clients who would bypass the women-born-as-women sex workers, specifically for a transgender. But only if the transgender will top them but never drop character as a woman.

Go figure.

ABSOLUTELY UNTRUE. I dated drag queens almost exclusively while I was in college, and my fiancee was a drag queen. You don't know what you're talking about.
