We fall in love and form families in the same ways and for the same reasons that all other folks do. Why would you think that ONLY gay people should never choose this path, simply because of a harmless natural trait? If that is a healthy and positive choice for a heterosexual, why is it a bad choice for a gay person? Really, if you want to stop every gay person from valuing and seeking marriage and family life, then you are going to have to stop teaching ALL children to value it. Because many of those kids are listening to you. And some of them are gay. Those who truly want a family and/or a family life should want to procreate. It seems to me that you homosexual people want to play 'pretend family' and doing so will make you feel better about yourself, about your homosexual lifestyle, and playing 'family' will give you some respectability among normal people. I think you homosexual people would be better off just being swingers and living together if you want to. Marriage is not a guarantee of happiness, look at all the divorces in life. Moreover, I think many of you homosexuals believe that marriage will fill that void in you that was created when you choose not to procreate.

You are correct that gay guys are born with a male sex organ; but their sex organ does not erect for women . Why not? . Because gay guys are born with the same sexual orientation your 'mother' was born with; attracted to men http://www.well.com/user/aquarius/ . So nature's intent is not what you thought it was . Now you know ;o))

It is insulting to a huge degree. When you start off with that, good luck with constructive dialogue. Yet you folks get far more gracious dialogue than you deserve in return for your insults. At least your comments go full circle? You start by calling me stupid and end with calling me insulting.

If protecting ones family is being "insecure", then every single other married person in this country is equally insecure. And, I also believe that sending a message to gay youth that such as path is open to them is a HEALTHY message, and will help them make better choices. Have you tried to impart such a message to your own kids? I know what you're trying to say,and I'm not trying to be cold,I just don't think anything has been taken away from you. Under the law,as an individual,we share the same rights. In one breath you use the law to qualify your position and in the next you dam it when it doesn't work to your specific needs.

As an example; this pride parade generated a million dollars for 11 needy public charities; a half-million for the host city's treasury; and a half-million for the Gay Agenda http://cdn2-b.examiner.com/sites/default/file... . The heteros and homophobes don't raise funds for the Gay Agenda . So we have to do it

Every gay marriage is a message to young people that making the choice not to procreate is an okay thing to do. I believe it is not and bad choices should not be given any legitimacy. And by paying taxes, you are doing your civic duty, something you should do despite what the money is used for. Nature's intent? Is that suppose to mean something? How do you know what nature intends?

Brad wrote: <quoted text> LOL If not more private? Guess thats why heteros feel the need to have a parade to celebrate opposite sex copulation? Every day is straight pride day. If you watch a football half-time show, you'll see female sexuality on display. Last time I checked, Mardi Gras was all about heterosexual pride. If you watch a commercial for jeans or perfume, you will see more blatant heterosexuality than anyone needs. That said, gay pride parades are hardly the bawdy celebrations of Porno Pete's wet dreams. Most are down right boring. Only a few cities have communities with sufficient size and wealth to support floats with dancers, drag performances, and disco bands. Those, of course, are attended by vast numbers of heterosexuals who seem to enjoy the show as much as we do. Don't want to partake in blatant heterosexuality? Don't go to Mardi Gras or Carnival. Don't want to partake in flagrant homosexuality? Don't go to Sydney or San Francisco on Pride Day. Some things in life are truly simple. Why do some people insist on making them so complicated?

It's only your opinion and you should understand why that is irrelevant to the law. "Pretending" would be marrying someone of the opposite sex. There is nothing pretend about my marriage. Didn't I tell you this already, or was it some other fool? We don't care what you think we homosexuals should do. You don't matter. You suggest things that many would consider immoral such as swinging and shacking up. What kind of person does that make you? There is no "void" in me without children. And many gay people do have children, so you're spewing nonsense. Let's talk about "normal." "Normal" straight people are not obsessed with this like you are. "Normal" straight people understand and are not theatened by gay marriages. "Normal" people do not interfere in other peoples' marriages. "Normal" people are not prejudiced or bigoted. There is something wrong with you.

You commented on another poster's comments, which were stupid, and told that poster to prepare for his come-uppance. My response to that was that stupidity will be confronted. Yes, your comments from beginning to end have been insulting. You are bad-mouthing our families. If you did that to my face, you'd be flat on the ground.

If the any of the kids do think that this behavior is weird/ususual/abnormal, does this automatically make the kids a bunch of bigots?
