yup, and they made equally clear they meant "not gays"...
you are starting with a huge win on your part and working backwards, but that huge win at the end ain't there...
face it, you were at a minimum 10 years early to the scotus and it will set you at least 50 years back...
in short, gay marriage will not be a right in your lifetime...
regardless of the number of times you quote and insist...
Let's hope you and I are wrong about that. Boies and Olsen think we are. And they have a good track record.

<quoted text>They want a family but they cannot have one because their perverted lifestyle is unnatural and they cannot reproduce. So where does the burden fall for raising children they can adopt. It falls upon the straight people. They should not be allowed to adopt and ruin a child's life by introducing them into a completely unnatural lifestyle..
You are stupid, there is no gay "lifestyle", just like there is no straight "lifestyle". BTW, gay people can and do reproduce. The burden of raising a child falls on the people raising it. You'd think even a knuckle dragger like you could find that filed under "duh". And children's lives aren't ruined by being raised by gay couples. Do you mind if I ask what ruined your life? You are really, really stupid.

Where was her data that gay marriage harmed society? She didn't have any. That hypothesis was never tested. She claimed a cause&effect relationship from statistics, but didn't test for cause. No expertise needed to arrive at that conclusion.... even though I have plenty. The fact that you so blindly accept these bogus anti-gay studies with BLINDINGLY OBVIOUS methodogy flaws makes one question your education claims. Clearly you know nothing about research methods.
That was an opinion piece from a right wing think tank, not a scientific study. Religious groups keep promoting it as if it were science, which is what they want you to believe.

This is an old tactic that has been tried in court and found to be without merit. It just keeps getting recycled. It relies on fear of the future, which is a classic tool, as the future can't be proved.

The Court: "I'm asking you to tell me how it would harm opposite sex marriages."

Mr. Cooper: "Your Honor, my answer is: I don't know. I don't know."

(p. 24, Motion for Summary Judgement)

"Overall, there is no evidence that giving partnership rights to same-sex couples had any impact on heterosexual marriage in Scandinavia. Marriage rates, divorce rates, and non-marital birth rates have been changing in Scandinavia, Europe, and the United States for the past thirty years. But those changes have occurred in all countries, regardless of whether or not they adopted same-sex partnership laws. Furthermore, the legal and cultural context in the United States gives many more incentives for heterosexual couples to marry than in Europe, and those incentives will still exist even if same-sex couples can marry. Giving same-sex couples marriage or marriage-like rights has not undermined heterosexual marriage in Europe, and it is not likely to do so in the United States."

Gay people were on the list for extermination. Genocide has already been tried, and failed:

From the U.S. Holocaust Museum:
"Following Germany’s defeat, most Nazi-era laws were revoked, but the revisions to Paragraph 175 remained in effect. Under Allied occupation, some homosexuals were forced to serve out their terms of imprisonment regardless of time served in concentration camps. Homosexuals were specifically denied compensation as victims of National Socialism."

Conservative constitutional lawyer and former United States Solicitor General under George W. Bush, Ted Olsen believes prop 8 will be overturned.

When first filed, he said in federal district court in San Francisco, discriminatory laws serve only to "label gay and lesbian persons as different, inferior, unequal and disfavored."

He later told Towelroad he thinks they "have a bullet proof case" and when it gets to the Supremes, "we can look those justices, every single one, in the eye and say: this is wrong. This is a stain on the American constitution and the American core values of liberty and equality and it must be erased."

In their filing, attorneys Theodore B. Olson and David Boies wrote: "Fourteen times the Supreme Court has stated that marriage is a fundamental right of all individuals. This case tests the proposition whether the gay and lesbian Americans among us should be counted as ‘persons’ under the 14th Amendment, or whether they constitute a permanent underclass ineligible for protection under that cornerstone of our Constitution.”

While the decision at the Supremes probably won't be unanimous, Kennedy, a possible swing vote wrote in Lawrence: "Had those who drew and ratified the Due Process Clauses of the Fifth Amendment or the Fourteenth Amendment known the components of liberty in its manifold possibilities, they might have been more specific. They did not presume to have this insight. They knew times can blind us to certain truths and later generations can see that laws once thought necessary and proper in fact serve only to oppress. As the Constitution endures, persons in every generation can invoke its principles in their own search for greater freedom."

Hopefully he will agree prop 8 and DOMA are among those laws which only serve to oppress.

There is no gay lifestyle, it is the perverted lifestyle. "Gay" is a word homosexuals hijacked to try and sugarcoat what they really are, perverts. It is a shame you have to resort to name calling and insulting my intelligence. Is calling me stupid really necessary?
